Would be a lot cooler if it could provide more power, if they had a larger option with more cells I would go for it. Might as well get another panel and wire in your own coax for the DC input on the battery.

I purchased this pricy panel for charging the Storm 2 power bank outdoors.First, it performs differently than it claims to do. Under direct sunlight, the maximum input I got was 0.18W, which is an order of magnitude lower than what they claimed. regardless of how I adjusted the angle and time of the day. You really cannot use it to charge the power bank while you are outdoors.Second, when I contacted them about the wrong item being sent since they sent me the case for Storm 2 Slim, they said they had upgraded the older panel so the old one is no longer available. Well, this newer version actually does not match with Storm 2. I cannot find a way to attach it with Storm 2 while I am walking on the trail. They don't stick together at all.

It was unexpected to see the reflective walls inside, it’s great to know they thought of heat handling since it will be outside when you need to solar capture. The only thing I don’t like is that it hides the reason why I wanted the power bank to begin with but while your out and about your not looking and admiring the power bank am I right?

Great solar charger for the shargeek storm 2 power bank. It performs well to charge the power bank and has a folding design that is compact and easy to transport. The one issue (it is kinda major) is the ‘case’ area the power bank ‘slides’ into next to the solar panels. The case area has a ‘window’ for the display to be seen and an access cutout in the back to connect the provided charge cable. The solar panels charged the power bank as stated. The problem is the power bank doesn’t slide in easy and has to be pushed very hard to have it seat fully. Once seated the display is visible and the control button accessible. The cable connects readily to charge. The power bank was almost impossible to remove from the case area. I was only able to remove the power bank by pushing very hard with my thumb to the charge connector area while holding the edges of the other end of the case. I was worried about damaging the wires that connect the panels to the charge connector. There are grip slots in the other end of the case but the shargeek power bank has no grip points and is smooth plastic. I got the power bank out of the case but am questioning whether to ever reinsert it again.I am going to try a string or ribbon wrapped around the end of the power bank to aid in pulling it out. Similar to the ribbon in some battery compartments used to aid getting the batteries out.

The design is cool. But it's really hard to fit your Sharkgeek Powerbank into it and I'm not even talking about taking it out.

Solar charger is one of the worse chargers I have ever used. Even on a sunny clear day the battery pack didn’t get one percent charge. Battery was about 74% charged before hooking up the solar charger. Disappointed in the product. Battery pack is good, charger not so good.
