I've owned several shark products and have always been a fan. I expected the same satisfaction with this product but...no.Frankly, the vacuum is light, easy to use, and effective. It cleans pretty well for a light duty vacuum. The frustration comes with the self-emptying system...which is why I bought this particular model.At the bottom of the dirt bin is a spring loaded trap door that is kept shut with a magnet and a latch. When seated into its base that door opens and the contents are sucked out and into a larger bin in the base. Seems like a nice little system. However, dirt constantly collects on the magnet. It builds up quickly and prevents the trap door to close. If it doesn't close then dirt falls out of it as you are vacuuming. It's very counter-productive. Even if you think you can just physically, manually shut the door when you remove the vac from the base you are frustrated because the build-up on the magnet prevents it. So you have to clean the magnet, which drops dirt where you are. The efficiency you counted on with this purchase goes right out the window.Once you clean the magnet and force the door closed then the vac works well. But the cycle repeats with the next use. It's a good idea, poorly designed.

I love the weight of the vacuum, the efficiency in sweeping and easy to clean. I love that it empties itself. The size fits in my laundry room perfectly. I only wish it had a longer battery life, 40 minutes is good, but twice that would be perfect. :) It was so good, that we bought my mom one for Christmas. Good value during the Black Friday sale, as well.

Pros:1. Lightweight2. Powerful suction, even on normal mode (there is a boost mode)3. Swivel head easy to maneuver4. Automatically detects different floor, or carpet vs tile5. Does well with lots of dog hair6. Auto empty is convenient, just put on base holder and walk awayCons:1. Small canister, have to empty after each room2. If on board canister is too full, struggles to automatically empty it when put in base.Makes quick cleanups very easy, no longer dragging out corded vacuum. Find myself vacuuming more (pro or con?). Getting about 15 mins on full charge in normal mode, variety of floors.

I bought the Shark cordless stick vac to have something lightweight to clean hard floors without getting out the larger canister vac. This Shark is lightweight, and easy to maneuver. It does a great job of cleaning up dust, dirt, hair, and pet fur. It has three levels of suction. I can do five average size rooms on a single charge on the Eco level, or low. The two higher levels will pick up heavier messes. I like that it’s easy to clean the roller, and the suction from the collection tank empties the vac cleanly. The built in LED lights are also helpful at spotting dirt and dust on the floors. It also works great as a hand vac for furniture and hard to reach places.

Love the weight of it, so easy to use and does a good job. Love the self-cleaning feature and motorized head for furniture, etc. Only complaint is that the dust bin gets the sponge filter very dirty each time. It is supposed to be less dust but I'm not sure if that really does the job. Overall, I would buy again.
