This painting is great for beginning little artists! My 9 year old granddaughter has a very short attention span, but loves to create. This easy painting was just right. She even added her own "special touches" to it! We framed it and she proudly displays it in her room.

I got this for my 6 yr old. She was really excited to do the kit, but the dexterity and skills needed just weren't there. Before I could teach her how to do it she just started painting the canvas. She had a good time and that's important - I am also certain this will end up in the trash because it's just a mass of paint.The dimensions are around 7x7 or so for the actual canvas. The frame is 8x8. Get yourself a good idea about what size that is - because the pictures in the listing are really bad at showing true size. The canvas isn't that big.There also wasn't a color reference sheet as shown in the pictures. She just had this little 2 inch square showing what she was supposed to be going for.I do wish I would have made it more of a mom/daughter project and next time I will.The included materials are good. Classic paint by number stuff. I seriously remember the aggravation from my own childhood when the little pots of paint won't stay open!!! The lid is in the way unless you open the whole string of paint pots.

This is a great way to get a younger person started on paint-by-numbers as long as you are available to help out. Be prepared for frustration from a 6-y-o. The spaces to paint on this are incredibly detailed, and though it says it is good for all ages, to be able to actually do it well one would need to be at least 8, I would think.The quality of the parts and the paints is low, but so is the price. The canvas piece is barely bigger than the opening of the frame, which also makes sense, but requires you to be pretty precise putting it together. Nothing great here, but it was fun after she figured out that perfection isn't the goal, and that the lines are guides more than requirements. She had fun.

This has everything you need for painting by number. I like that it is a smaller size. Good for older kids or even an adult who wants something simple and quick. No complaints.

Update: After dealing with this for the last several days. For some unknown reasons they cancelled my refund; they don't know why and who.Stay away from this company.Update: It has been 10 days and still NO REFUND. Amazon is not helpful, the chat is a joke, you can't chat they just tell you the same thing without being able to reply. That is not a chat, it is a joke! DO NOT ORDER THIS ITEM!There is no way any child can paint this; it is too small. I immediately returned it but have yet to receive my refund.May I add that after 7 days, I have yet to received my refund even though they have received the item. Amazon is not helpful either. Don't buy this!
