Your cart is empty.Shimano's road brakes are always well regarded as having some of the smoothest operation and powerful on the market feel and the new 105 BR-R7000 Brake Caliper receives the same trickle-down technology that makes Ultegra and Dura-Ace the leaders of the pack. The new brakes are redesigned and borrow the same new pivoting mechanism for a linear feel that provides an incredibly consistent power distribution from the lever to the rim's braking surface. As with the range-topping Dura-Ace BR-9100 Brake Calipers, Shimano builds the 105 model with a true dual-pivot design, deviating from the older versions using the mounting bolt as a second pivot. Instead, the 7000 has a rear-mounting plate with a center bolt for frame attachment. The brake arms have a slimmer profile and more rigidity contributing to more positive braking. The housing stop and quick release still reside off to one side and the barrel adjuster makes it easy to take up the slack due to worn pads or for personal preference.

This is a great set of rim brakes. They do what they are supposed to do, and that is slow you down and stop you when necessary. I threw these on my 6ku Fixed gear bike and let me tell you. These are 10X better than the brakes that shipped with the bike. The braking action is smooth, quiet, and very reliable. There are probably cheaper options out there, but trust me, don't cheap out on your brakes. There are a thousand other places to cut corners on your bike, but get some quality brakes. These fit the bill.

Fit well and stop well. Pads could be better in the rain; but They can be easily upgraded for all-weather riding.

105 brake calipers. If you're buying these, you probably know what you're looking for.They'll fit the full range of standard road tires and rims. Shimano stuff is all excellent, albeit overpriced.What I really find valuable about Shimano calipers generally is that the pivot joint with the cable connection is much more resistant to rust than cheaper brands that often ship as stock parts on bikes. I've always had to replace calipers on bikes after years of riding for that reason. The Shimano calipers last forever and have never failed me.

Installed these on my fixed gear urban ride. Had been using cheap stock brakes that came installed, I think they were Radius brand.They fit perfectly and the upgrade in quality is substantial. Honestly, this is one of those purchases I wish I had made years ago. I ride about 6k miles a year so my brakes see a lot of use.These brakes are very precise and responsive. Control of soft and hard braking is smooth and has a great feeling.Just get them if braking is an important part of your riding.

Just received these in the mail, and at first, I thought the brakes had some play in them, but this disappears when the quick release mechanism is closed. Please note the quick release mechanism clicks closed when you pivot the quick release to be parallel to the ground — I wasnt familiar w/ this type of position on a road brake and misunderstood at first — but once it’s clocked in, everything works really well. Strong, nice looking brake.

Incredible. Most midrange road bikes spec incomplete Shimano groups. They usually sub out Shimano brakes with cheap Tektro or equivalent brakes. After a couple of years of mediocre braking with the Tektro’s on my 105-equipped Fuji, I decided to splurge and get real 105 brakes. Oh my! Talk about night & day, this is it. DRAMATICALLY superior Not just a little bit better, a whole lot better. My winter bike has hydraulic discs and no, these are not quite that powerful, but they are not too far from it!Highly recommended!

I just crashed my bike at 27 mph and was sent flying sideway and my front Axis 1.0 brake on my Specialized Roubaix was bent and damaged from heavy inpact on the tar mat. In searching for replacement part, I was always a fan of 105 for its great quality and decent price. It was a very straightforward installation. I haven't go riding the bike yet due to injury but when testing it out after the installation, it feels way smoother and easier to handle compare to Axis 1.0. Shimano 105 series have never disappointed me and I recommend this brake for any replacement or upgrade from the lower tiers components.

Absolutely an upgrade from previous calipers. I decided to upgrade from my original OEM shimano calipers to the 105’s. 💯 % better! i.e. these brakes are center mounted calipers and also center action, meaning that you have consistent braking on both sides of the brake track right and left side surfaces. This allows for a more powerful braking system as well as even pad wear. Brake levers 105 STI shifters are also easier to feather when applying braking pressure. I have them paired with Swiss Stop black brake pads for carbon wheels, and the stopping power that I gained since has been phenomenal. Very clean and modern look. Also I would like to add that there is a significant amount of tire clearance allowing for larger tire options. My bike is currently wearing Specialized S-Works 26c road tires on the front and rear wheel at a greater clearance with these calipers.
