The cassette and other parts were packed loosely in the box and the second smallest sprocket is missing. The teeth on each sprocket look poorly machined and, as another reviewer pointed out, don't have the number of teeth embossed on the face of the sprockets, making it unlikely that these were actually manufactured by Shimano. I wouldn't recommend gambling with purchasing one of these.

A quality Shimano part that installs cleanly and works well. One issue with the 11 speed is that teeth seem to wear out faster than on smaller cassettes such as my 7 and 8 speed bikes.

Chega em embalagem plástica, padrão Shimano no brasil para itens básicos. Nem a Toyota respeita nosso povo, imagina a fabricante de carretilha de pesca.

I've used these Shimano cassettes for years. The HG-41 is the top model 7 speed. They last thousands of miles as long as you replace your chain regularly. I also use an HG-51 8 speed on my 1997 Trek 830 with aftermarket rims. Why is the 11 tooth sprocket, and retaining ring black? Not a big deal, just odd. I purchased mine as a return for half the price of new. Great product for older bikes, and they always shift smooth!

The packaging as shipped looks like it was part of a large volume purchase, not like the individual boxed units I picked up at a local bike shop. The bike is back with crisp shifts across all 7 gears.

Arrived and installed as expected. I set this hub on an 11 speed hub and just 3D printed a spacer to accommodate for gap. After looking online for what the thickness of the spacer should be, I landed on a 6.35mm spacer with a 35 mm internal diameter printed on my Prusa. I added a few teeth on it but I imagine you could do without those and be fine. The lock ring screwed on perfectly with it and just needed to adjust the derailleur.

Works great so far. Just riding in the city. Can't say I tested the low 34T gear up a hill yet. However when I had my 107 or whatever the count was link chain on this and on the high gear on the crank and the low gear on the rear and went to shift down to the lowest on the crank while the crank was still on high my bike chain just locked up. In fear of damaging gears or the chain I stopped forcing the petal and set my bike down. I had to up the center gear and after petalling either forward or reverce it freed things up. I'd hate to do this while i'm at racing speeds and did something foolish. It wouldn't be good. I don't know if I need a longer chain or just less teeth on the lowest gear. I'm pretty sure the default 112 link chain was too long for my bike seeing I bought it at 108 links. Anyways you bike people will know more than me honestly I am really new at this.

Purchased to replace an old/worn like-geared (7-speed 11-28T) IG31 Hyperglide-C cassette on a mid-90's Trek MTB. This unit is a simple, drop-in, 5-minute replacement that requires no other modifications (aside from a little post-install shifter adjustment of course). Paired it with an HG70 chain to replace the also-worn original IG30.The new cassette works perfectly. Pedaling is now a bit smoother. Shifting is now much smoother, quicker, and more accurate. Also, there's no longer a tendency for the chain to want to hop sprockets under load (never could get that adjusted out with the old cassette/chain after a while).About the only negative is that Shimano doesn't make it very easy to determine the proper replacements for discontinued parts.

Unless you really, REALLY, need the 34 tooth wheel, do not get the 11-34 - the jump between first (34) and second (26) is huge. This cassette has a 32 to 28 tooth jump between 1st and 2nd, respectively, and you really feel the faster shift because the spacing isn't as large. It's a pretty straightforward cassette, shifts good and never skips with a KMC 8.93 chain. Was looking at Deore XT (M737) or XTR (M900 or M950), but I couldn't justify it for the price difference.Glad I went with this one.
