This rotor is the most basic of the Shimano lineup: as long as it is clean works very well. If you’re looking at entry level rotors and want to stay with brand name: this is great quality and perfect for purpose. I went with 4* here because sometimes you can get one of these with a tiny bit of a bend in it, and that will require some adjustment.

this is an OEM part so it was a direct replacement for the brake rotor on my bike. Arrived in a timely fashion and was easy to install.

This is a stamped part with unacceptable axial and radial runout, it does not run true on my bicycle hub and, in fact, is a very inferior part compared to the machined brake rotor on my 30 year old bicycle. I can't use this stamped junk rotor and will return it for a refund. The printing on the new and old hubs tells the story- the new rotor is labeled "Shimano- China" my old hub is labeled "Shimano- Japan.

I needed a replacement disc, as I had come off a ledge and landed on my previous rear disc and bent it up pretty good. Swapped it out with this one and haven't had any issues.

J'ai remplacé les Tektro de 160mm qui sont montés d'origine sur un Rockrider 540S rouge avec des plaquettes BS05 qui remplacent les BS01 neuves. J'ai effectué un peu près de 20km de rodage: freinage pas très puissant, pas trop long, sans d'arrêt total avec des périodes de refroidissement.J'ai été impressionné par la qualité du freinage, en fait les Tektro c'était pour la déco, là je freine comme il le faut, sans bruit, sans du blocage systématique des roues. La puissance est énorme, et surtout 0 bruit.J'ai donc acheté deux de plus !

You can go ahead and pay a lot more for rotors that will do the exact same job as this one, or you can do like me and buy these and call it good. Works well with metallic, semi metallic, and organic pads, although label recommends organic only.

the rotor fits well does not make noise but they are for resin brake the brake in period was not long the rotor did not come bent came with all the screws and spaces. very well made product but it is a shimano product. well worth the money,

I needed rotors to replace the Mongoose Dolomite rotors, which were not ground flat and pulsed since Day 1. These fixed the problem. Also installed Shimano mechanical calipers. Haven't yet broken in the pads, but the initial braking action is good and it's nice to have smooth braking response.

I go through rotors pretty fast as I live at the beach and the light rust (iron oxide) the rotor gets on it between rides is an excellent abrasive to wear the rotors thin at an accelerated rate. My rotors last about 2 years. I was looking for a lower cost rotor from a name brand company and these rotors fill the bill. They include new T-25 Torx mounting screws but not the wrench, so if you don't have this bit you can buy one at the local hardware store for under a $1. These rotors come blister packed on a sheet of cardboard. They arrived straight and true and I have no complaints. I don't think you can find a better rotor for the price.
