I purchased this to try and switch to the PR from FG. One I purchased the one meant for heavier off shore fishing lines and not the smaller version, which made it more difficult to use.I did get a couple good knots after some practice. Then the knots barely fit through the guides and didn’t fit through the line laying guide on my slx reel.The tension on the heavy version also doesn’t back off enough for the lighter lines it’s rated. That makes it tougher to use.Unless you are fishing for big cats or stripers in shore or offshore fishing I’d honestly just recommend learning the FG and sticking with it. You don’t need a tool; and it’s nearly as good and at worst you could spend 15 bucks on the knot pullers to tighten the FG.

The best tool for making consistent pr knots- have used it on 15 lb solid braid up to 100lb hollow-core an have had zero issues. The cheaper ones tension knob would loosen while wrapping at times causing inconsistent knots.

他のボビンを使ってないので比較ではないです。ミッドノットやFGノットでタマンとカマジーガーラ狙いの打ちこみ釣りをしていました。今までノットが抜けた事はないのでボビン不要と思っていましたが、PRノットの仕上がりで感動しました。手で組むノットに慣れてる人ほど一度使ってみて欲しいです。

Works well with mono to flouro also.Up to about 80# A little harder to do than braid,but produces a super slim profile that holds its shape and casts like its's not even there.Update: Killer knot tested out about as strong as the Aussie plait (main line broke on both) The bomb when fishing with spin tackle cast like dream (unlike the wonky plait) much stronger than albright,slim beauty,double uni, ect. The FG knots almost as good if you manage to tie it perfect lol.The main difference I've found between the 2 is that the finish knot on the mono, a 3 wrap Rizzuto works best as compared to a 6 wrap with braid.
