I'm using this on a new set of wheels to put road tires on for my '02 Santa Cruz Superlight. Great price including delivery. Seller was great to deal with and will use them again. Recommended.

I've used cheaper cassettes. But truth the Hyper Glide cassette with the Hyperglide chain is very smooth.

I was loving this cassette for a whopping 3 rides before some teeth on the second largest ring randomly bent outward. I'm not sure how this happened but the chain has been skipping ever since. I'd buy something cheaper & more durable, I don't care about the 20 grams this cassette may have saved.

I traded one of my recumbent racers for a racing trike. Unfortunately, the person I traded the bike with was 5'3" to my 5'9". Recumbents are sized by moving the front boom in and out to fit the rider. With such a big difference, I had to replace the whole chain. As soon as I started riding, the new chain started slipping on the old worn rear cassette.I picked this one up so that I could attempt to change them out. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never done this before. It couldn't have been any easier. First, make sure you have the correct tools. Once you do, it literally takes about 5 minutes to swap them out.The cassette fits great, the chain doesn't slip anymore, and the shifting is smooth as a baby's bottom. Great cassette!

This is a replacement for an earlier model of the cassette which I put 10,000 miles on. The old one wasn't in to bad of shape, but I thought I would upgrade. As with most Shimano products a well made piece.

The XT Cassette Works sooooo much better than the LX model. I haven't compared to sram. I do like the sram x9 derailleur better than the XT as it is more durable and rebuild-able.If you are having gear skipping issues replace your cassette!

Amazon has this Shimano CS-M770 XT Cassette improperly titled (as the CS-M771). There is no such thing as a Shimano CS-M771 bicycle cassette. Regardless, I love the Shimano XT cassettes - they cost half as much as the XTR cassette and they last twice as long w/ only a slight weight penalty. Also, SRAM chains (my preference) work flawlessly with Shimano cassettes Get It, Set It, and Forget It...for smooth shifting...Ride on.

I was originally going to replace my cassette with a less expensive one, but several people talked me into getting a better quality one. So I purchased this one. It works fine and I like it. If I had gone with a cheaper one, I probably would have regretted it.

I received the cassette quickly and w/out issues.I was originally thinking of simply replacing my original cassette with the same one that my bike came with, but if I am already going to make the expense, I might as well upgrade, even if its a small upgrade. The cassette is a little lighter than my old one which is always a plus. It was easy to install, it fits perfectly didn't have to do much adjustments to the deraileur. I've been riding this new cassette for 2 weeks now and it feels like having a new bike. The shifting is smooth, quick and precise. Very happy with the change.I do want it noted that along with changing this cassette, I also changed my chain and replaced my worn out 32T chainring, if your crank chainrings are worn it may not work as expected just because the spacing between teeth in the cassette, chain and crank will not match.Aside from that, I highly recommend this item!

Shimano XT stands for high quality and performance. For now I'll give 5 stars to this product. The Specialized Camber installed on my Elite to replace the original cassette was a Shimano HG-30.What you feel at first is lighter than Deore XT is this cassette CS-M771, once installed will delight you with smooth operation. We will see that both hard ...
