For years, I have been using Shimano's XT groupo on several of my mountain bikes because it delivers all the performance of Shimano's far more expensive XTR line-up but at a slight weight penalty and far lower prices. These Shimano M8100 cranks follow in the same footsteps. My set of crank arms along with a 32 tooth chainring weighed only 620.4 grams. Not as light as many carbon crank combos but also far cheaper. These cranks also do not twist, bend, or deform under extreme forces. I do wish that Shimano would offer these in a bright silver sheen as well but that is what sodium hydroxide solutions are for. (Yes, these cranks are anodized and that can be removed in less than ten minutes in a 2.5% NaOH bath.)Five star product and would recommend to other mountain bikers.
