Overhauling its entire XT line, Shimano brought the groupset up to the level that XTR was at just a few years back, giving dirt hounds the chance to ride with the precision of XTR, without the price tag. That means it uses the same direct-mount application, and tooth profile that's designed to pair up with the new chain's extended inner link plate for a seamless fit. The new chainring tooth shapes reduces natural vibrations that are caused by the inner and outer chain plates rolling onto the chainring, resulting in stronger contact between the two components. I bent my chainring in a bizarre way. Needed to get a replacement as soon as possible and it was available via Amazon. Shipping was fast and the product was well protected in the package. I had the 32 teeth chainring, since I do very steep and hard climbs, I decided to install the 30, the results were awesome. Now I can climb a lot easier and became more efficient regarding to speed on the climb. I simply have more cadences than before because I can switch or play with more sprockets you either go easier or faster on the climbs. My combination: 30 on front and 51 on the back (New Shimano XT group set, 12 speed)... Awesome group, it's really blowing the competition!!!
