I bought these for a pair of cowboy boots. They were easy to insert and twist open to stretch the boots. I wear a women's size 9.5. These are very sturdy and can be used for a pair of boots, tennis shoes or anything else. I also used the extra pieces, easy to pop on and off to have extra stretch in certain areas.

Bought this product last year, Nov 2023. I used it on 2 pairs of shoes sparingly.Went to use it this year on my boots, 1 of the stretchers does no work any more. It won't expand as it should. Useless to me. One and done. I would look elsewhere.

Excellent for what I needed them for! Gave more room and stretch to my cowboy boots.

These won’t work for women’s dress boots, they are so wide that they won’t fit into the boot. Beyond that, the metal mechanism seems well made but the plastic “foot” portion has me leaning toward splurging on a real wooden one.

Good value for cost . The mechanical works are a bit stiff but worked ok with some wiggling around

I liked them and work well. I had one narrow pair of shoes and as I turned the handle, the stretcher would slip backwards out of the tip. I fixed it with just another item behind the stretcher and it held it in place. Again it only happed to one pair and easy fix.I don’t need to take to the shoe repair anymore. I can stretch and put the tabs where I want a little more stretch. They are worth the money.

These worked perfect! I have wide feet so buying shoes and boots is a pain. I have a pair of hiking boots that are uncomfortable in the toe region. These shoes were going to tell whether this product is good or junk. Used the plastic bumbers, threw in a 2x4 at the back of the shoe to keep the stretcher in place. Cranked the stretchers open like crazy...result... Extremely comfortable shoes!!I wish I would have done this sooner to avoid all the pain I have put myself through with these shoes. 3-weeks later, shoes kept the new shape. If hate a pair of shoes or boots because they are tight...get these!

These will make your boots wider and shorten break-in time, but only if you have a brain. Wet leather stretches easier than bone dry leather. Steam your boots, or actually wet them inside and out with a rag, or just use the stretchers after you've wore them for 4 or 5 hours. If you have a normal, vintage-lasted boot (like an Iron Ranger) they do not slip back at all. Widening them actually locks them in place. If your boot is shaped like an empty shoebox (doc martin), or if they have narrow, pointy toes like a cowboy boot or a dress boot, then yes, they may slip back, so stick something in the boot to stop that (duh). Use them in your moist boot, let the boot dry overnight, check the size by wearing them around for a few hours, then repeat until you've achieved the width you're looking for. Use caution. You don't want to go too wide, and then have a sloppy fit when the boot actually breaks in.

Use it ALL the time for my new boots and shoes. It's hard to find my exact size, so this allows me to get slightly snug boots/shoes and stretch the width a little.Remember to spray the inside and outside of your shoes with a 1/2 rubbing alcohol and 1/2 water mix, to help the leather soften and stretch.

I travel for my job and live out of a camper, used these in my boots, all I can say is due to the travel between locations the small nuts and bolts that holds the frame around the wedge were not tight as they backed out and I mean every one of them did, when I picked them up they just fell to pieces. They worked great for about 3 months before this happened. If I could have found the little nuts a bolts I would have tried to put them back together but was only able to find a couple, probably got swept out the door when cleaning. If you buy these check the tiny nuts and bolts that hold them together.
