About this item

  • *** BODY MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED*** ***THIS IS A RACE KIT CUTTING REQUIRED***
  • All Shogun Motorsports frame slider kits come with left and right frame sliders and all necessary mounting hardware. Shogun also offers a 1yr free replacement puck for White, Black and PA2 kits. Contact Shogun Motorsports for details.
  • Shogun frame sliders are superior to other frame slider brands by virtue of their construction and material. Shogun pucks are made of shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun pucks absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperatures like some types of foreign recycled Delrin or fade in the sun. Each puck has a press fit aluminum bushing to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the puck tearing off of the mounting point.
  • Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle. Some Shogun products are available in a 3 piece kit which consist of matching frame sliders, swing arm spools and bar ends. Made in the USA

Shogun clearly marks this as a "Cut" kit. If you want the no-cut kit with bracket, you're looking for part #750-6369. If you want a non-moronic review of these sliders, read on-==Installation==It's a bit annoying that Shogun doesn't provide instructions in the packaging. It's even more annoying that the link they provide to download the instructions doesn't work anymore. It's downright aggravating that once you do manage to dig up the instructions from a forum somewhere, that they aren't very helpful. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend installing this yourself unless you are confident with your skills in the workshop.I ended up drilling a hole in the fairing in the rough vicinity of the bolt, screwing the slider in as best I could, then tracing around the slider with a sharpie. I used a dremel to rough-cut the hole, then switched to a drum sander to clean things up. Be patient and use a steady hand. You only get one shot at this. There are two different locations where you could feasibly mount the frame sliders. I chose the holes towards the rear, which meant that I didn't so much as bore out a hole in the fairings as I just notched some out of the edge.==Performance==My FZ6R is my daily beater bike. I try to keep it clean and pretty, but as a commuter that gets parked in a high-crime area, it tends to get vandalized and abused quite frequently. That's why I wasn't afraid to use it to teach my friend how to ride this weekend. After three hours of riding drills in an open parking lot, the tally was two drops, one on each side at roughly walking speed. The sliders worked perfectly. The only damage to the bike (besides the ends of these sliders) was to my bar-ends. The fairings and engine covers remained untouched. The damage to the sliders themselves is entirely aesthetic.--------------------As far as quality goes, you can't argue with Shogun. They've been the benchmark of frame sliders for quite a while, and you really can't go wrong. I was going to deduct a star because of the issues noted above with the installation instructions, but the low price and high quality of the kit more than makes up for it.

Does not come with bracket to offset away from the body panel for a FZ6R like the OES. Now I have to by a bracket.

They seem solid enough... hit my shin on em, it hurt.Obviously, depending on your fairings, you may need to cut. It would be good if you could include some sort of stencil to pre mark the cut. But as far as the product goes, it's solid and as advertised

A must have item. It's like an insurance policy. You may not need it, but if you do you'll be glad you had it. Understand, these will HELP protect your plastic from "fall overs" and LOW speed dumps. NOT high speed dumps/crashes. You will have too modify the plastic, so these will fit. But their website gives instructions on how to do it!

Seem very light but I guess they will work Warning you will have to cut the plastics to fit otherwise a good deal.
