The one I received has silver hands, not black hands, which makes it hard to read from a distance. I used to be able to see the time from the shower with prior clock, but now I have to be in front of the clock to be able to read it.I did appreciate the clock being set to the right time upon receipt (EST).

A beautiful replacement clock. Seems much higher quality vs last 2 clock inserts. It’s heavier w/a metal back, has a stem like a watch. It runs silently. The(One I ordered recently & even though measurements were spot-on, it did not fit!);(The other clock came w/the decorative piece, & I used it as a gauge for measurements but….didn’t help. Was unable to find a great fit so I’ve added extra space-saver to make this clock fit into clock decor:). Alls Good

The clock dimensions were perfect. He’s been lost in time for 10 years…but no more.

This "mini clock" works as advertised. it is an exact fit for our space where we had a previous clock that had stopped working.

The price is great. The size is just right. It works out of the box and it comes with a spare battery. How long it will last is anyone's guess. The construction is incredibly cheap; but then you get what you pay for.So far -- so good.

First: To start the unit, push in the stem. A battery is already installed. The supplied spare is just a spare. You don't need to install the battery right now.Second: It takes way more force to open the metal back than you'll probably feel comfortable with, given the case is made of plastic. You'll be inserting a screwdriver into the notch where the stem lives. Be sure to move the stem aside otherwise you'll be using the stem as a fulcrum, which can't be good. You might still crack the case while cranking on the screwdriver (I didn't) but you are warned.Third: It takes way too much force to reinstall the metal back plate. You'll be tempted to use a mallet. But don't. Just leave it slightly cracked open otherwise you or someone you care about will relearn these lessons.Fourth: Keep your old round retention gasket until you've confirmed the new clock sits snugly in whatever you're putting it in. I used a micrometer to measure the diameter of the old clock before ordering a new one. Despite this, the new clock had a smaller diameter than the old clock. Fortunately, the old gasket worked fine somehow.Let's hope it keeps good time.12/17/18 - Update. Added one star. This clock keeps time just fine.12/11/20 - Update. Changed review to one star. Deserves none. A disposable clock. Hands will not engage with the adjustment stem. I could wait until 11:50 to replace the battery, and hope for the best. But life is too short for such nonsense. The flimsy innards of this device should have been isolated from the battery change process.
