These work great on an open rail. The issue is when a seatback is up against the rail. In that case, it's difficult to clench down the line & if you do, it's likely that the line will come loose in moderately rough water.

No lie, I love these things. They are just so clever, and save so much time messing with the fenders on my pontoon. No knots! What a great invention. Decent plastic construction, been holding up well, dropped one when I first bought it, didn't break or anything. Doubt they'd float.Tip: Tie a knot on the end after you thread it through- if it ever does come off the rail- this cleat will be stuck on the fender line floating safely.

These cleats work very well. Most of the piers and docks at our home lake a fixed units ( Non-floating ). Many have a different height and these cleats make so easy to adjust in a hurry. Super glad we made the purchase, and would recommend them.

This product is perfect, does exactly what you need it to do. Wont let go of your fenders even if they bounce in the wake a bit. Easy clip off and clip on if you want to move your fender to the other side of the boat. Buy these and never tie your fender ropes again. These should come stock on any pontoon boat. Not having these is silly.

I wanted an easy to adjust cleat for the fenders on our pontoon boat and these are perfect. Easy to put in place at a moments notice (no dangling fenders while underway!) and easy to adjust rope length to each dock. Great product!

I Purchased these fender cleats for a pontoon boat so that I would not have to retie the fenders every time I raised or lowered them. These cleats work well for this purpose. It is very easy to insert and remove the rope and the rope seems to stay in well. This is definitely better than retying the fenders every time you want to adjust them.

They fit the rails on our pontoon boat well. So far we've had them on for about a month and they seem good, quite sturdy and secure.
