We needed something to easily secure a leashed dog. This was simple to install on a porch post with a couple of 2” deck screws. It is deep enough to quickly drape the leash handle loop over the cleat, and it’s secure enough to hold a quiet golden retriever while he waits a minute to continue his walk.

These are great cleats -- nearly fabulous at Amazon's add-on price. And for my aluminum boat, they're the best option to avoid corrosion caused when any non-aluminum metal comes in contact with an aluminum hull. I bought two #14 stainless flat-head machine screws for each, put a dab of marine sealant on each 3/16" hole in my boat, and they mounted very tightly and securely. They look good, and they won't corrode. Love these cleats.

Smooth finish. Easily installed with brass screws and an electric screwdriver on a small dock. My 20 foot Bayliner is easily docked and held fast.

These were exactly as described. Did the job and fit perfectly. As with many "small ticket" items, check your pricing. I found out that the local, privately owned marine dealer sells these considerably cheaper. This didn't cost these cleats a star, they were exactly what I expected, the price was my fault for not shopping, not the manufacturer's or seller's. I could've helped the local economy, saved money, and had them immediately, rather than waiting for shipping. They are not smooth and glossy, they are textured, matte finished.

I believe the ad is deceptive. The item pictured shows two cleats. I carefully read the description to determine if it was one or two included in the purchase. The description did not say one or two so I reasonably believed the picture of the product displaying 2. Not so...When I received the item I only received one....Shame on you !!!
