I replaced the cheap mixet temperature lever that was loose and cracked.Big hardware stores only have other plastic handle. I am glad I found this sturdy metal oneon Amazon even if it costs more.

The standard temperature control on a Mixit is plastic, and they work fine. However, I preferred to have a real metal piece, since i adjust the temperature a lot, and I wanted something durable. If you really want a metal control, don't be fooled by the chrome-plated controls that look like metal but are still just plastic.

Really nice quality and so much better to operate than those flimsy plastic levers. Pleased to see it's made in Taiwan. A little pricey, but worth it.

Seeing as my 2 local Home Depots didn't have any metal ones, I went the Amazon route. Exactly what I needed. Very solid and sturdy. Only thing I didn't like was how the tightening screw was placed; I couldn't get to it once I placed it, but no big deal as it fit perfectly and snugly.
