I have several capos that work with 6-string guitars but none of them worked properly on my 12-string. This one fits perfectly and operates well. Seems like a solid capo and it should last a long time.

Using on a Teton 12 string electric and it works fine. Had to adjust to tension to almost full but I'm happy with it.

I have been playing fora over 60 years and owned many many capos in my day and this one is the best of the best. It is very easy to put on and take off and holds the strings just right to keep everything in tune; does not impede your fingers either. It is not a quick change capo but it does release quickly.I would recommend this to anyone.

If one has a guitar, sooner or later one realizes accessories add to the playing experience. If one has a 12 string guitar, one needs 12 string specific accessories. This capo is designed for the wider necks of the 12 string guitar. I’ve tried my standard 6 string capo without success. Get this item if one has a 12 string guitar.

I purchased this capo for a Taylor 254ce-dlx 12 string, which has a neck thickness of approx. 1" (including the fret) at the 2nd fret. This capo opens to a 13/16" maximum when closed, it can be forced onto the neck at the 2nd fret, but applies so much pressure that the strings are pulled sharp, and there is no point in trying to use it beyond the 2nd fret, as the neck gets thicker, duh. I have ordered the Shubb S3V capo for vintage/thicker necks, we'll see how it fits when it arrives. I wanted to stay with the Shubb, as they have been my capo of choice for many years. The pressure adjustment screw on the Shubb is the key to achieving the best intonation possible at any fret. I'm optimistic the replacement capo will be the one that works for my particular guitar. Measure your guitar's neck thickness and order appropriately.

Works great on my Taylor 352ce 12 string. You do have to adjust the screw to modify the pressure if you capo up the higher frets to stay in tune.
