We hung this in the ceiling of our baptismal. It picks up great sound quality with no feed back. It hangs about 1 ft from ceiling which is still about 3 feet from our heads. No issues and it came with plenty of cable!

I use these for classrooms and they work very well. 2 in the middle pointing away from each other a few inches down from the drop ceiling captures the whole room in any spot easily. Standard classroom size of 30 seats. Even in the corners it picks up speaking just fine.

Ideal choir mic. 25' very thin cable easy to run over stage. Also comes with wire hanger to ensure proper angle. Shure advisors even showed me how to locate. Used seven of these on theatre stage for assistive listening system into an old Shure automixer - work great

When trying to live stream or at least record our church service, the audio coming through the audio panel was great but people singing hymns and hearing the ambient sounds of church was missing. I tried a condenser mic but it was too close to our air returns. found this mic with the long cord and laid them over our window trim on both sides of the church about 30 ft from the returns and the sound is great. Being white and small with an extremely small gage white wire allowed them to be almost invisible. I then run them to an ATEM mini through a phantom power supply by way of an xlr-1/8 audio cable. They pick up everything and can be used as the only input for a complete experience live stream. Very happy with these mics.

So far so good work fineStill work fine 3 yrs later. We use two of them. When they're not aimed at the choir, we aim them at the audience. We can pick up audience singing well, or somewhat capture audience participation in Q&A events. A single person asking a question is not a strong signal but still better S/N than what I was getting from standard dynamic floor mic, sufficient for editing and post processing if time permits.

I use this in a large area at work where we do GoToMeeting sessions. It picks up the whole room very well.Note - you DO need a mixer of some sort with this as it uses phantom power and an XLR connector. I bought one of these:for it and it worked very well!
