Sounds like a regular whistle. Wanted to help with my dog’s barking. Didn’t affect him at all.

If i could give it -5 stars i would. The description clearly states "silent" and it is anything but silent, and in fact is quite loud and piercing. I don't know about you, but the way i see it that's either bait-and-switch or outright false advertising. Sending this garbage back.

This package includes 2 stainless steel dog whistles in plastic casings attached to lanyards. One whistle's casing is black and the other whistle's casing is white so you can tell them apart, which might come in handy if you've adjusted their pitches differently. To adjust the pitch, you pull the whistle out of the plastic casing and spin a metal ring up or down, then replace the casing. These whistles don't make much noise. They're very faint. You have to blow very, very lightly to produce sound. I've been trying them out for a while now with my dogs at the dog park. I'm not yet sure how quickly the sound gets heard and recognized, but recall response has not been instantaneous. It would be interesting to compare recall response rates between when this style of whistle is used vs when a football referee's whistle is used.

From my experience, this is just a normal, high pitch whistle. Definitely not silent, unless I'm actually a dog, however I don't believe that I am. It does save me the need to have to whistle myself to get the dogs' attention when they're barking at something in the yard, and occasionally does get their attention, so I will give it credit for that. Not finding any means to tune this either for any other pitch.
