It slides right through my 97 year old vintage alto saxophone without issue. This is the 1st swab that actually dries and works in this vintage horn.

Pros: Swab does its jobCons: Picture is wrong, plastic disk makes cleaning the neck impossibleThis swab certainly does its job, but I can't help but be a little annoyed that the picture is incorrect.It is not a long weight, but instead a small rubber bead (which isn't really that bad). The annoying part is that the string is not actually attached to the swab, like it is pictured. The string goes through a hole in the swab, which is then attached to a sort of plastic, springy "disk."This swab is fine for going through the body of the saxophone, but this plastic disk stops it from being able to go through the saxophone neck (which is the part that holds the most water and requires the most cleaning). I can make use of this, but now I have to find another swab that doesn't have this annoying string setup.
