My motherboard was one of the last in its generation to not have this header built on, so I needed this to use my front port and it served that purpose without issue since 2023.There is a pretty big oversight in the practical use of this card in my situation though: the port faces perpendicular to the card, pointing down, when installed. The plug of the header cable that would plug into this is pretty long and obviously inflexible. These two conditions combined means that the card can't be installed in the lower two pcie slots of my motherboard because there isn't enough vertical clearance between the card and the power supply shroud for the cable once its plugged in; it also blocks off the lower two slots from being used when installed above them for the same reason.I'll happily buy from SilverSone again, but I'd look elsewhere if you have a chance of needing those other pcie slots down the line or are building in a small case.

It seems to be a high quality product and works as expected. I uses this card to enable the USB C port on my PC case.
