Definitely digs in the ice and keeps you from falling! Great investment for my Simms wading boots

My studded boots fell apart, but my felt sole boots were fine. Discovered these, drilled them into my felt soles and had a new pair of studded boots in no time. Couldn't be happier.

Return item only because I no long went with stocking foot waders. Did not need the product. I have used the product in the past on other wading boots.

I fish mostly in the inland Northwest, and around here, using these is like putting ball bearings on the bottom of my boots. I am tired of the slipping and sliding and going swimming instead of fishing. Simms tells me that these are the only studs I can use on my Flyweights, so I won't be fishing any rivers until I get new boots (NOT Simms!).

Sometimes plain felt or rubber soled wading boots just don't provide enough grip on slippery rocks or ice. Screw about 10 or so of these studs into either type of sole, and you will fill much more secure. Recommend putting a dab of Shoe Goo or similar on each stud as you screw it in, especially in felt. You don't want them coming loose while negotiating the rocks.

It only took a couple of minutes to screw these into my boots. I only used 3 per boot, and I can walk on ice now - no slipping.
