Using this as part of a costume. Will work great for that! If I were to give this to children to play with, I would expect it to last less than a minute. Not a toy to be chopped into other swords or into other things.

The product is not a bad idea. However, it's lack of durability makes it impossible to use on a regular basis. And if it's intentions were to be a toy. That's not favorable as this item had too many sharp edges.

I bought this for my daughter’s Halloween costume. Worked for our needs. Doesn’t remain retracted unless the tip cover is on it but there’s no where to keep it unless you have a pocket. Blunted tip. Stores upside down in its pouch. Not too long but long enough-My 10 year old daughter wore it without complaints of it getting in her way.

I got this sword for Tai chi practice. It will work well for that.Several people have one now for that purpose.

Literally came apart the first time my 5yo played with it. The pieces come apart and would fly off which was very dangerous.
