I should have trusted the reviews. Flimsy material. Too small for regular-sized spools. Arrived cracked. Found the Dritz boxes at Walmart. These are sturdy and properly sized.

I don't like that the lid does not lock on

This product is ok as it is. It is good that they are stackable if you have the space to do so. The only complaint I have is that the top does not fit tight enough and comes off easily. From my own experience, it would have been a much better design to have put on a set of hinges to attach the lid to the box, and a snap close clasp on the front to prevent the interior goods from falling out all over the place should the box get dropped or accidentally fall to the floor. Even with the loose top, the boxes are good and I would buy more if I need them.

I like this thread box, however it will not hold many large spools of thread. It does work though. And, I loved the price. But, if you sew and have a whole collection of threads, I believe something else would better suit your needs.

I love this box, it is the right size for to put in all my threads and bobbins. I'm an occasional sewer, and I dont need more space than this box. I also put my shears in there.

This product is awesome, it organized my spools of threads with strings going every which way in my sewing box. I will purchase another one as my sewing skills improve.

This is a clear, hard plastic box designed to hold multiple spools of thread. It has three rows of spindles. The center row is higher than the side rows, so you can fit smaller or larger spools together in the same box.Pros:* The box is raised in the center, so it will stack on top of other similar boxes.* It holds a lot of spools, keeping them neat and organized.* The box is transparent. No more hunting through a drawer full of thread, trying to find the right color!* Even though the box is smaller than previous thread boxes I bought, it still fits on top of them, so its stacking ability is compatible with other brands.* It comes with a lid, which keeps dust out.* It will hold regular-sized spools of thread, as well as the slender embroidery spools, so you're covered either way.Cons:* The box is a rather hard, brittle plastic. It feels cheap and it doesn't look like it will hold up over time without breaking.* The lid is a tight fit, so it's hard to open and close. This increases my fear that the plastic will crack when I open it.When I first set up my sewing room, I bought two thread boxes at a local craft store. The brand wasn't written on these boxes, so when I ran out of room and needed more thread boxes, I wasn't sure what to order. I took a chance with the Singer box and was disappointed. The brittle plastic is a major issue. I hate feeling like I'm handling eggshells every time I open my thread box---I'm seriously worried it's going to crack when I pry the lid open. For that reason, I'm giving this thread box three stars. It's fine if you're just starting out and need something cheap to keep your thread organized, but eventually, you're going to want something a little better quality.

I didn't know what to get my stepmom and I knew she started to pick up sewing again. I sew a lot as well so I saw this online. The price was great, it got here on time and there were no damages. I put this with a pair of nice scissors and wrapped it up. If you don't know what someone wants, try to get them what they need!
