Quite simple to install and set up once on does a little homework. Making modifications and upgrades to our devices isn't hard really, the research/learning is much more challenging than actually installing components, building or working on PCs pretty much requires a phillips head screwdriver, okay a few - the 2 or 3 different sizes. These mini sd/tf cards are about the simplest type of data storage going now - not to mention the obvious size advantage.

I've tried a couple E-key to M-key adapters and so far I've had some success. One of the problems is the height of those adapters, which in this use case was too high, as you can see in the picture. Decided to give the SD card adapter a try and it works fine, fits under the ram and NVMe stack and boots the systems as expected. Just know that SD cards are not designed for this use. No SMART on SD. You're flying blind on wear levels with this.I dinged a star because the flip up metal cage is finicky. The plastic underneath is keyed, so the card fits in there, but it exerts upward pressure when you try to close the cage which can push the card out of alignment. It holds it solidly once closed. It's just not as easy as the slip-ins on RPis. Don't be leaving one star reviews saying it couldn't see the card because you didn't insert it properly!
