I got this product to assist in controlling the speed of my 5 year old as he learned to ski. The product has durable buckles and adjustable straps, fitting similar to how a backpack fits. I like that there is a small zippered pouch in the back for snacks but to also store the straps when your not using them. The straps are a good length and they are adjustable with good handles to grip onto as well. I like that there are 3 areas for the straps to hook onto on the vest. There are 2 hook on the side to assist your kid in learning to turn and control speed and one in the middle at the back to assist in controlling speed only.The handle on the back of the vest was so so (therefore the 4 starts instead of 5). It wasn't the best position for me to use it to help lift him up on the chairlift. It was a little too flimsy compared to some other ski vests that I have used in the past. All in all, seems like a great project!

I use the HipierFx Ski and Snowboard Harness with my 5 year old daughter when skiing. The handle is very helpful for me to help her off the lift or back up if she falls. The adjustable straps make it easy to fit different body types. I have found it is best to have the straps fairly snug so it does not shift around during use. The training straps are strong but she quickly outgrew the need for them. The harness has a pocket for your lift ticket or other items. This is a must have for young skiers.
