SKS is a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, we have been keeping bikes rolling for over 100 years.
Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began manufacturing curtain rods. His company was purchased in 1932 by Wilhelm Blome, who also purchased a tire inflator company, which inspired him to begin manufacturing metal pumps.
SKS is now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, along with accessories for your bike, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and even phone holders.
SKS items are still designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. We will continue to innovate and manufacture the highest quality cycling accessories for years to come.
The Future is Orange
SKS Germany employs 400 people at our bicycle HQ in Sundern, and over 700 employees across our three combined divisions.
43% of our bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales while 32% is OEM product.
Annually, SKS Germany produces:
- 4.5 million full fenders
- 2 million clip-on fenders
- 1.2 million bicycle pumps
This totals over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day!
Revamping the classics
In 2022 the SKS full fender line was renewed. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders.
Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material. But, the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
SKS Germany continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well.

This TREK 7500 (vintage 2003) has 700-38c tires on it. Title says the rest. I could not be any more pleased with these.

Trying to perform step number 2 where the designated bolt and corresponding nut are supposed to go into the "V" connector, the nut does not fit into the plastic "V" connector. Furthermore, the directions say that you just need a #4 hex wrench and the same bolt is definitely NOT a #4. For the not-so-cheap price of this frame set, I would expect better. I've already spent too much time thinking I was doing something wrong. I will be returning this item.

Das Schutzblech erfüllt, wenn es irgendwann mal am Fahrrad ist, weitestgehend seinen Zweck. Aber bis es soweit ist will man es eher wieder zurückschicken.Alle Bügelstreben sind viel zu lang und müssen gekürzt werden. Da sie sehr stabil sind, braucht man eine Säge oder einen Bolzenschneider. Die mitgelieferten V-förmigen Halteklemmen lassen sich an einem Vorderrad, mit den doch recht weit verbreiteten Suntour oder Rockshox Gabeln, im übrigen nur montieren, wenn man noch separate Adapter dafür kauft. Witzig: SKS nimmt ausgerechnet ein Rad mit einer solchen Gabel als Produktbild. Ohne jedoch darauf hinzuweisen, dass es dort nur mit diesem externen Zubehör montiert werden kann. Zudem muss man den unteren Haltebügel auch noch verbiegen da der Öfnungswinkel der V-Halteklemmen dort einfach nicht passen will.Wie gut das Schutzblech fürs Hinterrad passt kann man auf diesem Bild übrigens auch erkennen. So wirklich mag das Blech dem Rad nicht folgen. Offensichtlich hatte nicht Mal der Hersteller Bock dazu den fummeligen Kram richtig einzubauen. Dazu muss man nämlich beide Laufräder mehrmals aus und einbauen bis man das passende Maß gefunden hat, die Haltebügel zu kürzen und einzusetzen. Damit der Abstand zwischen Rad und Blech einigermaßen stimmt.Fazit: wer zu viel Zeit hat und gerne mal all sein Werkzeug auspackt ist mit diesem Set gut beschäftigt. Für alle Anderen findet sich eher was Besseres.

Es sind Ersatzbleche für das Trekkingrad meiner Frau.Es ist jede Menge Zubehör bei ( Abstandsscheiben, Schrauben in verschiedener Länge)Zwischen den Streben und den eigentlichen Blechen gibt es zusätzliche Silikondämpfer.Beim Einbau, auch wenn er recht einfach ist, sollte man doch die Bedienungsanleitung beachten.Spart viel Zeit. :)

I usually dont write bad reviews. This is incredible hard to assemble, instructions are really badly written, and was not actually compatible with my 700c bicycle. Front fender broke after flexing it to screw the struts into the frame.I'm quite surprised of the low quality of this product overall coming from a german company. Please investigate if this actually works for your bike before purchasing this, you may end up losing your time and money like I did. 100% not recommended.

Lightweight, adaptable, and the breakaway feature is very nice. Minor complaint, but I wish the front fender mounting bracket was a bit further back on the fender for forks with rear fender threads, as is too much of the fender is behind the fork.

If I could’ve found these in a local shop I probably would’ve had them installed there. Alas, in the interest of time because I like to wait to do things until the last-minute, I installed myself. It took less time than I expected and it wasn’t as challenging as some reviews led me to believe.The rear fender is a little big for my 2023 XL Cannondale Topstone. However, I tested the set in the rain for a few hours on a recent touring trip and they worked great.

The fenders took quite a while to install due to my ordering the wider set. I had to make cuts to clear my fork and the chainstays. Once that was done and the rear upper struts cut to the correct length they look and work great.

I have an Aventon Soltera with 700c x 35 tires and these seemed like a good addition, but they did not fit. I ended up throwing the front completely out.For the rear fender...I had to trim the rods myself. And then I had to cut off the sides of 1 end of the fender to get it to fit in my frame where it's supposed to screw. In the end, I got it installed, but it took more work than I'd expect for this price.The front fender...Again, I could not get it to fit flush to my top frame mouny. I resorted to using zip ties to fasten it. But that wasn't the only problem. Again, I had to trim the rods. But but the end, the rods just didn't align well. Consequently, the fender didn't align. And my tire would not spin.At this point, I had spent so many hours and had modified the fender so much, I threw it out.Very disappointed.

Moin, die Schutzbleche an sich sind in Ordnung. Jedoch ist der Verstellbereich der Streben sehr gering, so dass hier viele Nacharbeiten notwendig sind. Die Montage ist teilweise fummelig.Am meisten stört die Befestigung der Streben am Schutzblech. Hier wird die Reifenfreiheit unnötig eingeschränkt, was sind wiederum negativ auf den Freiraum der Füße auswirkt.

Schutzblech hat voll überzeugt bis auf das im Set Schrauben gefehlt haben.Nun kann ich morgen in den Baumarkt fahren und die fehlenden Schrauben kaufen ...Danke SKS!!!
