SKS is a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, we have been keeping bikes rolling for over 100 years.
Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began manufacturing curtain rods. His company was purchased in 1932 by Wilhelm Blome, who also purchased a tire inflator company, which inspired him to begin manufacturing metal pumps.
SKS is now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, along with accessories for your bike, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and even phone holders.
SKS items are still designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. We will continue to innovate and manufacture the highest quality cycling accessories for years to come.
The Future is Orange
SKS Germany employs 400 people at our bicycle HQ in Sundern, and over 700 employees across our three combined divisions.
43% of our bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales while 32% is OEM product.
Annually, SKS Germany produces:
- 4.5 million full fenders
- 2 million clip-on fenders
- 1.2 million bicycle pumps
This totals over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day!
Revamping the classics
In 2022 the SKS full fender line was renewed. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders.
Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material. But, the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
SKS Germany continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well.

Good quality bicycle fender. It is designed to fit a more conventional bicycle downtube, unless you would not include the four rubber standoffs then you might be able to use the fender on a wider downtube.

These looked bigger in the pictures, but really are too small to do much. I can't return them as I live in the middle of nowhere Alaska, I've just replaced them with Portland Design ones.

Mounts securely. This fender is easily long and wide enough for a 26x4 inch tire. It like this one better than some of the other down tube fenders because it is longer. The rubber bands that are provided break after a while, but they can be replaced with regular rubber bands, 0-rings, or zip ties.

First one I received had no installation hardware (rubber spacers, and straps were missing), the replacement I received was good, tested it on a very muddy trail and noticed an improvement with mud spray, pivots and bearings are much cleaner, overall it does it's job, good addition to a front fender, and possible a rear fender, it's very wide (4" at widest part, 3 1/2" at top any wider it would hit crank arms), it will work great on a fat bike too.Easy to install / remove, stays in place on my bike on very rough rocky trails and didn't interfere with pedaling or accidentally hitting it, the fender seems like it would last forever since it's a flexible rubber but the rubber straps might be the first to fail we'll see, though you could easily use something else if needed. my bike as a wide triangle type down tube, and it uses the full length of the strap so if you have a e-bike or just a gigantic downtube you may need an alternative strap method.anyways good product easy on frame, nothing hard touches frame, and not too heavy.I will also test on my fat bike and see how well it works on that and update my review if anything changes.

Prodotto robusto e ben costruito, si adatta a qualsiasi tubo obliquo grazie agli elastici. Non è leggera, adatta a MTB o Gravel. Non risente di fango o sassolini

Prefect fit freaking awesome for my phatmoto rover 2020 a 26in bike with a motor it keeps mud/water off my motor love how wide it is! I have tried 8 others this one and the one made bye Portland are the best this one is wider though..

My bike has a oversize, square, downtube. The provided straps would not work, but zip ties worked fine. The fender stays in place and does it's job very well.

Diesen Spritzschutz direkt am Rahmenrohr hab ich schon an anderen Moutainbikes eingesetzt und er tut was er soll.Neu für mich war diesmal die Version "Dark", welche ich optisch durch komplett dunkel gehaltene Werkstoffwahl noch ansprechender finde als die sonst übliche schwarz/grau Version des X-Board. Zumindest passte diese dunkle Variante hier optisch noch besser zum neuen weißen Bike.... rein subjektiv eben.Die Montage geht einfach und ist gut auf der Verpackung erklärt. Die Spanngummis bei der Befestigung halten sicher und das auch schon bei einem anderen Rad sogar seit fast 10 Jahren völlig klaglos.Mein Fazit:Dieser Spritzschutz erfüllt voll seine Funktion, macht optisch was her und hält erfahrungsgemäß Ewigkeiten... was will man mehr?
