Overall looks like a great unit. I couldn’t install it to my Triban bicycle for a couple of reasons:- The bolts included in the package are not long enough for my fork. Need yet another bolt 1-2 cm longer than the longest in the package- The rear mudguard is a little too wide for my frame. This also requires a little tweak, no drama

I purchased these fenders for two carbon-frame gravel bikes I just finished assembling. They accommodate the width of my tires--just under 1.75 inches. They are advertised as 47mm wide. They actually measure 46.5 (1.83 in) in width. I don't believe it is the fault of the manufacturer, but installing these is not for the novice. For the rear fender, I ended up ordering a P-style fuel clamp to mount the fender at the area caliper style brakes would mount then cut off the molded clamp that is at the end of the fender and drilled holes in the fender for a zip-tie to mount it where it attaches to the frame. For the front fender, I just needed longer bolts to reach through the top of the front fork area. Bike fenders are not "one size fits all" so as long as you are willing to do your homework and fuss a little these are a good solid purchase--lightweight, sturdy yet flexible, and reasonably adaptable as long as you select the correct fender for your tire width.

I've asked other customers about this product and from what I gathered these fenders would've been a great fit for my road bike but unfortunately I was met with MANY difficulties. Starting with the rear fender, this product didn't like my bike and the holes thats needed to screw the black metal thing was no where to be found. On the description of the product it says I was suppose to be given the optional black steel thing since my bike only had it on the bottom but there was none. So I had to smash the damn thing to a specific angle and bend in order to be able to slide the metal into the slits on the fender. Ready for part 2? Now it's time to install the front lo and behold! I'm dealing with the same damn issue! This time the screw to tighten the black supporting metal thing is too short. Isn't that silly? How am I going to keep the thing afloat? Oh..I know..I'll use something that wasn't included. I'll just use some string to tie the thing hoping that it won't rip apart. Well thanks for helping me waste 3 hours of my life. My advice to you guys is you should give MORE information on what kind of bike these fenders work with-not just the wheel size. Tell us which hole the screws will be installed in because most bikes don't have the same frames-their designs aren't the same.Since I'm writing a review and NOT asking for a replacement it just means that I don't want to deal with you guys.

SKS makes a variety of great fenders for many different types of bikes. These are floppy and light with quick release attachments and no struts. Perfect for my purposes. Very happy with the fit, once I adjusted them. A perfect addition to my commuter bike.

I bought that to use on my mountain bike, I know that is not made for that but the rear part fitted well and the front fitted too, but I couldn't fixe that because of the disk brakes.

fenders fit well on my trek 8.2 ds with 20.5inch frame and 700x38 tires.could use the u-stay kit for better stability.but I like being able to take them off when I do not need them.I don't ride in the rain but I will ride after the rain and find some wet spots and puddles. They keep my back pretty clean and helps keep the bike a little cleaner as well. They are a little flimsy but do o.k.The u-stay kit would fit the rear fender but not so much on the front. The mounts for the front fender on my bike are located about 5 inches from the end of the forks and on the backside of the forks.I would have to bend the rods in a 90 degree angle to mount. So I have not mounted them with the u-stay kit but I might in the future if I like the look of permanent placement. They do what I want them to do which is why I purchased these.I did not want permanent fenders.Plus these are in my price range.Overall good buy.

The fenders seem sturdy out of the box but I would not recommend installing them without the "SKS U-Stay Kit for Velo 42/47 Fenders". The fenders were just too flimsy with the single mount. Once installed with the additional SKS U-Stay Kit the fenders sit firmly in place with no rubbing or flexing (IMO the kit should be included with the fenders).I'm not sure how these will fit other bikes but these fastened directly to my DB without a hitch. BTW the fenders that were shipped are the Velo 42 Urban and not the 47s. I didn't bother shipping these back as they fit so well, honestly not sure what the difference is between the 42/47 other than maybe size.

Very nice and discrete fenders for my commuting bike. If you have a mountain bike, these may be too narrow for the wider wheels. I bought these to go on my Raliegh Misceo 2.0 bike. They fit great and look great. The rest of the bike is black as well so they really blend in. Installation is super easy and they fit the size of the tires really well. I was worried about the appearance of the fenders, but these look great too. I would definitely buy them again for a commuter style bike.

I ordered these along with the optional stays. The fenders did not fit my bike. I have a very low rear triangle and the fender ran out of room near my bottom bracket. The fenders are not adjustable. There also wasn't enough clearance between the fork and tire.I also purchased the optional stays and these wouldn't have worked due to the position of my disc brakes. They were made of decent plastic for ~$30 fenders. I would have kept them if they had fit.

OK... these were extremely easy to install BUT I would highly recommend purchasing the "SKS U-Stay Kit for Velo 42/47 Fender" kit with it. I read one of the other reviewers who recommended the kit and I'm glad I ordered it. I believe the fenders will work fine without it but it provides ALOT more stability on the fender and it keeps it from bouncing into the tire. Also the kit is extremely helpful in aligning the fenders to make sure they stay off the tire. The first day I used them (biking to work) it rained in the afternoon, rode home without getting the "rooster tail" up my back and bottom! VERY VERY PLEASED!
