The bag looks like it is solid from the photo. It is flexiable. I put my singer machine in it and the machine fits. Overall I will say it is a good case for a machine

To nerrow, very little padding to protect the sewing machine. I had to cut the sides open and add padding.

I cut a piece of 1/4 inch plywood for the bottom support. Made the recitative soft bag a lot sturdier, specially for caring over the shoulder. It is the perfect size for Singer table top sewing machines. Got a discount coupon which made the price right. Well made bag.

I use mine for my permanent jewelry business to carry my welder. The welder isn't as heavy as a sewing machine and the plastic on the strap broke. I fixed it with a carabiner, but still bummed it broke. I wish I would have paid the extra to get a bag with wheels. Other than that it's a great bag. The color is nice (mine is the gray) and it has the perfect amount of pockets.
