I bought this rest for a Guarneri copy fiddle. It complements rather than matching the maple tailpiece and pegs. It is easy to assemble and install. I did have to glue the cork to the steel but that took all of 2 minutes. It is well made, secure and of the right height. It is for a full sized violin, does appear large enough to also fit a viola, but I don't think it would work on a fractional sized violin.Edited to add that it remains stable at the six month point. Also, although it is rosewood colored but the grain looks like non-rosewood.
