I bought this to save a few dollars over the Big Green Egg ash basket. I bought it May 2024 and by August 2024 I lifted it to dump the ashes and the bottom fell out. I gave a bad review and Skyflame reached out to me to offer a free replacement or a refund. I was shocked and appreciative.I really think this was a bad batch and not the norm. I have purchased 2 of these in years past as gifts for friends and the baskets are still in service. With that said, give it a try. They are really heavy baskets--much heavier than the Big Green Egg ash pan that is $120

I have used this charcoal basket about 5 times and it is holding up well and doing exactly what I bought it for. It holds all the charcoal and before I start a cook I shake the basket and the ashes fall out. Much easier than doing it with poker or my hands. Works fine

Only a year of use and probably less than 50 times and the basket fell apart when shaking out soem ask this morning. That is very disappoining.

I've had two Skyflame charcoal baskets fall apart after a few months of use. The welds on the bottom of the basket failed. The first one was replaced by Skyflame after a month of use and the second one fell apart after four months of use the exact same way. The best Skyflame offered was a 50% discount on purchasing a new one, I purchased a competitor's product to avoid the same thing happening again in a few months.I'd be a little more understanding if the basket had been used to sear steaks every single time at high temperatures but that was not the case. I only used it at smoking and grilling temperatures.

I was looking for a basket for my Kamado Joe Classic and came across this basket which is priced more competitively than some others. This basket is very sturdy and easy to use. The basket fits very well in my KJ Classic and is great for cleaning out ash and reusing charcoal. I don’t know how this compares to other baskets since I have not used those but I would recommend this one.

I needed a vegetable roasting basket for my large Big Green Egg. This fits perfectly with about two inches of space around it. It allowed me to fire roast 8 pounds of plum tomatoes at a single time. The holes allowed for the flames to reach in and perfectly brown each tomato. The construction of this thing far exceeded my expectations. The wall thickness is easily 2X anything you find in a big box home store. I would buy this again, but won't need to as it will last for ever!

Fits perfectly in my metal Akorn. The handles sit about an inch below the smoking stone and it holds a lot of lump. It is very well built from thick stainless steel and does not feel cheap whatsoever. It weighs almost 5 lbs and is very solid! Makes sifting the ash super easy and lifting the basket out is so convenient.
