This belt driven opener is quiet, it took 2 hours for the installation, easy instructions. Love that it comes with the app on your phone to hook up too! Comes with timer function up to 30 minutes you can turn on and it automatically closes. Great little unit.

A little slower than my old opener but extremely quiet. My dogs don't even hear when someone comes home and they hear everything. Fairly easy install also.

For my application- a garage door only opened on trash day, this was the perfect replacement for an old Genie. Before installing the opener, I first replaced the door gaskets, adjusted the spring tension and lubricated the system. It was possible to program the closing limit so the bottom gasket is well compressed. It's easy to program the remotes and limits. I have not tried to program a car or the WIFI function.I give the instructions a B+, the English was flawless, but the illustrations should be larger and have more detail. I did the installation solo, which is very reasonable.

I wish I knew that before I bought it. The installation wasn't hard. I'm not a professional so it took me more than 4 hours. Everything went quite smoothly. Make sure you watch the video before you install it. The unit is mush smaller than the other brands so I assume the motor is smaller than other brand. also assume that is why the door door open and close speed is slower than other brands. It's much more quiet than the one replaced. my old one was 40 years old and used track drive and didn't work my in car remote. It's one of the reason I replaced it. After installed and set up the new Skylink. Everything seems OK until I started to set up my in car remote. My car was bought in 2020. It cannot learn and pair the Skylink. I followed the instruction both from the car menu and from Skylink menu. Also tried all the video I found from Youtube. Nothing worked. After a week I finally called the customer service and found out that technician told me that Skylink doesn't work with most car built after 2019. Didn't listed it anywhere from the product. Wish I knew before I order. should I take everything down and return it because the in car remote didn't work?

I followed the steps and programmed the stop/start position. the wall control/remove/keypad can close/open the door.the two issues:1) safety reverse feature: When it's closing, I put a piece of carboard and blocked the safety beam, I can the green light turns off on the receiver, but the door is still closing. I would expect to stop/blinking lights when the safety beam is blocked. The receiver LED shows green if nothing blocked between, and If I step in the middle, the green light on reciver turns off, I assume that safety beam transmitter/receiver works properly.I also checked the wiring, per instruction, the wire with mark from Transmitter/Receiver are wired together and connect to PIN + . and the other wire (no mark) from Trans/Reiceiver are wired together to the pin -.2) When I program the stop position (display number 3), the door was fully closed to the ground. after completed programming, when I open/close using remote/wall control/keypad the door would not go fully down to the ground. it stopped with about 1 inch above the ground. Thanks for any comments

I’ll get to the juice, this garage door opener offers a couple of features that I wasn’t aware of or that don’t work.- WiFi only connects to a 2.4 network not a 5 so if you don’t have that you don’t want this model.- The Amazon Alexa connection is a big miss and doesn’t actually work. And when it does (which I’ve only had success once with) you can’t just give a simple command to open the garage, you have to include “tell orbit smart to xyz the garage”. Most the time Alexa and Orbit don’t end up communicating.- when you shut the garage on the app, there is a safety feature where the motor beeps and the light flashes for 10 seconds. It’s loud enough I can hear it through my door in the house.I’ll also note that in my garage attic my previous outlet was wired to a 15amp breaker. The garage opener wired on my opener gave a warning that power was not enough. It did operate still but I just decided to jump a new line to an existing 20amp plug instead and haven’t had any issues. You may need more power depending on what you have.Otherwise the garage opener is very straight forward to install and operate. It’s a very quiet motor but a little slow to open, the key pad and remotes were already programmed and Wi-Fi hooked up first try and operated great on the app. I do recommend it for the simplicity of it all and for doing what it’s meant to. Just needs fixes on the bells and whistles

This openers quality is outstanding! I would never go back to a chain drive. The wifi was simple to setup and works great. Now in saying all that I have only had it installed for a week so we will see the durability next. But so far great value..

This thing is a piece of junk!- the signal is super weak. Installed the signal to my cars and it almost never works- the wifi/app is not reliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.- the beeping noise is super loud and you can’t lower it down- tried adjusting the force to speed up opening and closing the garage (because it’s super slow compared to other garage opener) but doesn’t work.Spend a little more and get a more reputable product. This one sucks.

This garage door opener is excellent. I like that the unit is small and appealing to the eye. It is fairly easy to assemble and install. If you’re doing it alone it will take a little longer versus having some help. It can be done alone, though. You will have to purchase the metal bracket to screw to the ceiling so you can mount the motor. It does come with the pieces to mount it to the ceiling bracket. If your safety sensors aren’t working....invert the wires and plug them in. The video says to put the colored wires together and the white ones together. Each set of wires will have one of each. Twist them together. My set of wires had one white and one with writing on it. Programming the remotes, car buttons, wireless panel and wall console is super easy. Given the price of this motor it’s actually a great alternative to other models. There is very little noise from the motor. The door makes more noise going up and down. Also, the Wifi works with a dongle that plugs in to the top of the motor. The Wifi works with the Orbit app without the hub. You could get the hub and use the Skylink app and get a few more features. The Orbit app is sufficient for opening and closing the door from anywhere. The backup battery can be purchased on skylinkhome.com along with other accessories or you might be able to find it on Amazon from other sellers. I suggest buying it directly from the manufacturer in case something goes wrong.UPDATE: I have have had this installed for a few months now. It has been working great without issue. Sometimes the Wifi disconnects but that is an easy fix.
