We used these and other items at our second home/rental property at the coast in Texas. Everything needs to be stainless to last any time. While we are still in the first year, they are holding up fine, but time shall tell.They are sturdy for sure.

These adjustable hinges are better than the traditional wood fence hinges. Most wood gates are eventually going to sag. The mounting on most hinges with lag bolts, splits the wood. As the weight of the gate and wood splits more , the gate sags. Then latching becomes a problem and cane pin location changes and becomes difficult. Not anymore! If it does, I will just adjust the hinges to line everything back up. I made this custom gate from 2 x 6, 8 , aluminum poles, and plywood. Each panel is about 4 feet. The estimated weight of each panel is about 45 pounds. They are mounted in the front through dogear boards into 4 x 4‘s, and into Back into a 2x4. I did buy new hardware because of the weight and size of gate. The spring tension can be adjusted for a return to close option (which I personally love, so the dogs don’t get out behind me ) using the special tool that comes with them. They’re almost 2 years old. If they ever need adjusted, it’s easy to do with two three-quarter inches. Some of these adjustable hinges can get expensive and big and ugly. These are sleek and black and very reasonable in cost. If you like me, and want your gate to look straight and even without the hassles of latch misalignment, buy these. You won’t be disappointed.

I just finished a custom fence with gate between our house and detached garage/workshop and the hinges and latch are perfect. Easy to install and adjustable. Exactly what I was looking for.
