Step 1
Fill a large bin or bucket with fresh water.
Step 2
Scoop or pour a small amount of paydirt into a classifier/sieve (a colander works just as effectively).
Step 3
Dip the sieve into the water and shake back and forth to "wash" the paydirt, exposing rocks & gemstones. Repeat with the remaining paydirt.
Step 4
Identify all of the gemstones you have just discovered. For optimal results screen your paydirt in sunlight.

My husband has purchased from SluiceBoy several times for various holiday gifts for me and it never disappoints. I'm a big rock collector, and by that I mean- I like certain things about rocks, so I take them and add them to collections around my house. It's a problem, but it's one that my beautiful husband is supportive of. Getting an order of these paydirt bags combines my love of rocks AND digging through stuff to find treasure. I have gotten some of the most incredible looking stones I've ever seen in my life out of these bags and I'll cherish them forever. I can't speak to the price/value because for me personally, these bags are absolutely worth more than what they cost. And I say that hoping the price doesn't increase, because I don't want to start feeling guilty about my birthday and Christmas presents, but I get so many pretty crystals that would definitely cost double or more if I were to order them individually. If you like rocks and digging for treasure, you don't have to travel to the mines of Arkansas. Just get a bag of paydirt and make a mess right on your own patio. And get a rock identifying app, because sometimes you get stones that aren't on the list they include. I got 3 rainbow moonstones in my last order! They're gorgeous. I included a picture of a hunk of Tiger's Eye, too, because it's even more gorgeous. Get you some rocky dirt!

great value!The bags have many big gems in each bag. This is compared to when we did this activity in other places. I was also very impressed of the packaging and how quick the delivery was.I was struggling with how many bags I need to get and ended ordering way too many.For birthdays, each small bag can serve 3 kids (2 turns for each). I hope this will help as the cost of the return is on the customer.Overall, good value and the kids loved the activity!

First this product is good, but for the price…not enough variety in the three bags I got for 90.00. The pictures on the site show that the bags have a lot of colorful stones and variety. Neither of which are true.Second, delivery is fast and my kid had fun.I feel for what I got and for the pictures showed you would get…I think I will go with another company in the future.
