Works pretty good for the price. Used it on a previously checked saw. Was within a few hundred rpm. Close enough for a quick tune in the woods.

Cheaply made. Buttons feel mushy and unsettling. The "instructions" are totally wrong for which mode is which and what is mode 3? 3 Stroke engine lol?I have so far used this to set the speed on an old 2-stroke snowblower and a check them on a 4 stroke generator.I have resorted to just pressing mode until it shows me a number in range with what I would expect it to be. Useless instructions, but the readings to seem to be accurate and it reacts quickly to changes in throttle. It was pretty inexpensive so It still gets 4 starts even with its flaws.

Received as described with replaceable battery. Tested on an old 4 cycle Honda garden tiller. Was able to get a reading holding unit against spark plug boot and it matches when using the clamp with lead cable threaded through the holes on the side of the unit.
