These toggle clamps are very small and more suited for smallish projects using thinner stock under 1/2" or so. But you can get around the stock thickness if you need them to hold thicker stock. Just shim the mount to make it higher. In doing that, you could easily hold down up to 1" stock or possibly more. The clamping pressure is said to be up to 60 Lbs and with a good mount, I can would say that's about right from my use. They are great when you want a clamp to make a jig where the clam is small and won't get in the way of your tool. I've used these on my CNC and a laser burning unit with good results. So if you want a small set of clamps, these would be a good choice.

The first thing I thought was, no way are these useful. I'd misread the size when I ordered. Two days later I'm at the woodworker's guild I belong to and there is a special designed stool class being run by a local woodworker. Her stool as some very complex angles only able to be cut using jigs....and three of them had these little toggle clamps. Made me rethink getting rid of them and instead I'm thinking o how to use them in more projects.

I really need to learn to pay more attention to the product descriptions before I order. I didn't notice that I had ordered the small size of these toggle clamps and I actually didn't realize they even came in different sizes. Well, all of that is no fault of the seller as the size is indicated in the product description and if I had read it I would of been aware.Ok enough of that. The clamps are just like the larger ones I usually buy but just tiny (see comparison photo). I find this type of toggle clamp to be very useful and I have modified my other clamps to work with T-tracks and I have also included them in jigs. If you haven't used these types of clamps before be aware that they do require manual adjustments to allow for the thickness of the material you are clamping. There are two screws, which have metal plates between them, that need to be either moved up or down the bolt with the rubber grip on the end, in order to make all adjustments for height. Once you have the right adjusted properly this type of clamp can be cranked down really tightly and can have great holding strength when the handle is fully locked down.I am making a new T-track waste board for my CNC machine and I was planning on using these clamps but I think they will be too short. I'm sure I will find other uses for them when I'm working with smaller items. So if your working with smaller items that you need to clamp down firmly these should do the trick as they are well made and should provide strong clamping ability.

These toggle clamps are small but strong. They are very good for using when making different jigs for helping cut small pieces of wood. They work perfectly, make a good strong grip, and can help make cutting a lot safer. I had ordered them with it in mind to use in the art studio, but I think they’ll but much more useful in my woodworking shop. I highly recommend them.
