How good can a plastic mailbox be? Extremely good, it seems.Easy to mount with included self-tapping screws (they appear to be stainless steel), the hinge uses stainless steel pins, the plastic is nice and thick, and there are water drain holes in the bottom in case it is directly exposed to the elements. perfect size to fit a narrow space but plenty of room to get your hand all the way to the bottom. Nice big smooth section on the front to apply name or number decals, if wanted. Optional newspaper hooks are available if you still want that kind of thing.I've used steel/metal mailboxes up until now and they always have issues with denting, corroding, poor quality hinges, and noisy lid opening/closing. This made in Canada mailbox solves all of those problems and is just quietly ideal. Great value.

This was super easy to install. I bought some double sided tape to add to the back then added the screws. It fits perfectly in the small area I had to place it. It should last for a long time. Should be big enough for my meds to be left in it. Seems to be waterproof with weep holes in bottom just in case it does get water in it. It's cool to touch and has an area to put my address numbers on the front. I am glad that I got this

We recently moved out onto a small private road out the country, where our mailboxes are all located at the end of the street (on the main road). I still wanted to get newspaper delivery a couple of days a week, but the very substantial post that our mailbox sat on was not really designed for a traditional horizontal round tube-type paper box.Especially because it's really out in the elements, and because I'd love for my morning paper not to be destroyed by rain before I get home from work at night, it was important to find something with a lid that closed .My hubby easily attached this box to the mailbox post, just below the door of the mailbox itself, so the paper delivery person is still able to drive up to the box and put it in without getting out of their vehicle. Now that the newspaper (company) has finally discovered where I live, my 2x weekly paper has been in pristine condition when I get it from the box.Not to misrepresent it - this box is plastic and lightweight. But it is plenty sturdy enough to hold mail and/or a newspaper. It's best feature is a good-fitting lid. It also has drain holes at the bottom, should it inadvertently be left open and water gets in. It's a good, basic product that works as intended at a decent price!

I bought this mailbox because I did not have enough room for a standard horizontal type. The material it’s made of is weather resistant and is one-piece construction so it has no seams. Standard size flyers fit into it and there is still room to close the lid. Overall I’m very happy with this product.

The lock never worked from the time I received it & the top part you left up will not stay attached. I would like a replacement sent out

I like the double lid design, it should keep things dry in the rain. The overall size is a little small. If there’s junk mail, like flyers, it sticks out the top which defeats the purpose of a locking mailbox.

Item I received had the lock cylinder installed 180 degree backwards aka it wouldn't lock. Was going to send back but I was able to rotate the cylinder and fix the locking issue. Might be an issue for anyone with limited hand strength as the locking clip is difficult to remove and reinstall. Not sure why this is but presumably its done purposely as the keys are attached by a rubber band to the bottom of the lock which makes no sense to me. Either way its a decent budget mailbox for those that don't want a thin metal mailbox. Magazines and large envelopes might be an issue as they will need to be folded to be inserted but otherwise wide enough for most mail.
