at first charged batteries to full two months later it charges only to half. at first i thought the cold weather outside killed half the battery but then after charging overnight and then putting into camera it only shows half full. charge shows its full but not.

Bought the charger because of its compact size for travel. It is OK to charge 3rd party batteries to full, but DOES NOT work on high capacity Canon LP-E6NH. I only got 70% and reducing over the time to 50%. I hope the manufacture take a look at the product and fix the issue before claim it works on LP-E6NH. I still like the compact size.

It works and charges batteries just as it should. No idea if it's faster or slower than the Canon one but if it allows me to charge two batteries at once, I'm happy.

I initially liked this charger and bought a second one, however I didn't use it enough to recognize the non-starter traits. Some batteries charge OK (marginally) while others do not (like the LP-E6NH). For my LP-E6N's, I get an 8.4 voltage on the charger but it's really around 88%. If I top it off on the Canon charger it will make it to a full charge. But not on the Small Rig.On my LP-E6NH's, I rarely get more than 66% after 8 or 9 hours on the charger with the charger claiming 8.40 voltage, which is a full charge number. However, 66% is far from a full charge, and the voltage is far from 8.40. Again, after topping it off on the Canon charger I get a full charge.Plain and simple... the thing doesn't work correctly. It's happening on two units, so this is just how it works. The false voltage reading is likely the cause. When a charger believes a 2 cell Lithium-Ion battery is at 8.40 volts it will cut off the charge current because it knows 8.40 volts is full. So, whatever method they are using to recognize this voltage it is flawed.I also made the claim they made some bad design choices, and this was specific to one aspect. When the charger is only connected to a battery and no power source, it will light up as if it is charging with only very minor details showing it is not charging which is easy to overlook. So, it is very possible plug it in to a power brick and your batteries and have a bad connection where you think it's working, but in reality, it's not.In summary, I'm having issues with recognizing what's going on with the charging (due to the connected batteries lighting up the display without connecting it to a power source) and incorrect voltages readout which cause partial incomplete charging. Long story made short... pass on this unit, unless you are ok with partially charging chargers that are SUPER convenient with many methods you can use to power it (basic USB, PD, and various other power supply types).

I bought this charger to reduce bulk while traveling with my Canon R6 camera across South America. It works great as well as weighing less and being less bulky.

It annoys me that Canon refuses to make a compact USB-C travel charger, and third parties seem incapable of doing it themselves. This SmallRig charger is case in point. If it worked as promised it would be perfect. It is not perfect. For old LP-E6 batteries, it does work perfectly. I charged two LP-E6 batteries from 2012 using two different copies of this charger and my R5 reported 99% when the chargers were done.It was a different story for LP-E6NH batteries. The LP-E6NH has an 18% greater capacity than the older LP-E6 but this charger is unable to take advantage of it. It charged the first LP-E6NH battery to 94%, the second to 95%, and a third to 92%. Interestingly, placing the first two batteries in the Canon OEM charger didn't make a difference. It decided they were full and provided no additional charge. But the Canon charger did charge the third LP-E6NH from 92% to 99%.In terms of voltage, the SmallRig charger reported the "fully charged" LP-E6NH batteries were at 8.4V. My multimeter disagreed. It measured the batteries at 8.33V, 8.34V, and 8.22V respectively. 8.3x volts may be close enough to 8.4 volts that the Canon OEM charger did not try to charge them further. 8.22 volts clearly is not.In terms of speed, this charger does not charge particularly fast, though all of my batteries began the test at a charge level of greater than 80%. At charges above 80%, the best chargers slow down to protect the battery. Maybe that is what was happening here. One battery took exactly an hour to charge from 87% to 92%. At no point did either the chargers or the batteries feel excessively hot.The bottom line here is that if someone rarely exhausts their batteries between charges, it is actually better to not charge them all the way to 100%. Then this battery charger might be a good choice. It is small and light and has a nice display to let users follow its progress. But for anyone who needs to maximize the capacity of their LP-E6NH batteries for each use, this charger will not do it. Two different units and three different batteries all agree. Sadly, I've yet to find a third-party USB-C charger that does. Three stars.

Plugged it in, it went completely dead within 30 seconds, never to live again. Spend a bit more and get one you can depend upon. To the sellers' credit, they did reach out to me a couple of days after I posted this review, offering to do whatever they could to make things right, and I respect that, but I already replaced this unit with another type.

I tried 4 different batteries. Only 1 would charge. The other 3 would charge for 1 or 2 minutes then show a short or defective battery. Brand new Canon factory battery showed defective. My Canon charger worked fine on all of them. Returned.Revised: It is the new Canon Brand (the ones made for the R5) lp-e6nh batteries that won't charge to 100%. Other brands are okay.
