I am using this small lens ring light as a screw on macro photography lens using the filter threads of my lens, and it has actually been a very helpful new tool added to my camera bag. I really like that I don't need to add any additional mounts, and can screw right on my 67mm lens. Obviously, if I want to use it with a different size lens, I need a step up or step down adapter, but it is very helpful as is. It is a pretty bright light, and I typically only use it at the lowest level, as that is more than bright enough for what I am doing. I like that it is rechargeable, so I don't have to worry about buying new batteries all the time as well. Overall, I think this little light is great.

Easy to use, and works really well with the Canon RF 100 Macro lens. It screws right on and the buttons are super easy to use. One for white balance, the other for brightness. For a basic macro light it's great. You can't control the region like some other macro lights, so it has more a ring light type look, but for the price and the fact it's basically a lens filter in size compared to other macro lights that are large and bulky, this light is awesome.It also works really well on a phone also. Fits really well with the small rig phone clamp system.I've attached a few quick snaps with a Canon R6m2 with a RF100 macro using the ring light at medium power.

I use a professional quality ring flash on my DSLR camera for my work but it is fairly bulky. This ring light in comparisonis so much lighter and easier to use. You will need a step-up or step-down ring to adapt to your macro lens as theydiffer in size depending on the brand of the lens. I have also used other photo accessory products from this company inthe past and have been quite satisfied.

Now this is good design. This doesn't take up more room than a large filter. And it is pretty lightweight. But it gets surprisingly bright. It fits well on my 67mm threads. I'm going to have to reduce it to use it with my other camera because it has 77mm threads. The only thing that would have been nice is a lower low setting. The lowest it gets is 33%. The power button does the temperature and the button with the little sun on it controls the brightness. I played with these for a while because the manual has it the other way around. So while other little video lights seem to toggle through the temperatures, you can see all the cool diodes on for the coolest, both warm and cool for the middle temperature, and just the warm for the warmest. But with this, all the diodes are on for all three temperatures, they are just at different brightness. So I am sure this is to simulate the actual desired color temps of 3200k, 4300k, and 5600k. That being said, there could have been a 2700k with only the warm ones, and a 6000k with only the cool ones. But that is just an observation and I am sure they considered this and decided to keep things to the 3 simple color settings, which I appreciate. I have a lot of SmallRig gear and their stuff is very well-thought-out.It is plastic but it feels solid. I also noticed that when it was threaded on my lens, the controls were at about 10 o'clock, which makes it convenient to control with my left hand. So that is cool. I don't know if this was intentional or just the way it worked out on my lens.Overall, this fills a niche that I did not have another solution for. I am definitely adding this to my kit. It should even fit in my filter case.

Regardless of what you decide to call it this compact light is powerful for it's size.It features Bi-Color with High CRI ≥90 and attaches to most all 67mm lenses for smartphones or digital cameras.It's compact size makes it super lightweight; it weights a bit more than a CPL filter is travel friendly. It's mostly made of ABS plastic but it has an alloy thread ring.Overall I'm very pleased with this compact LED Macro Ring Light and would high recommend.
