This smart soil meter has been so convenient to have at home! As an extremely enthusiastic novice gardener, I'm hoping having this level of information will make a big difference in my success rate.I found it very easy to set up with the app (which is necessary in order to use the tester).I didn't realize how much I'd being able to test the moisture levels in particular (I initially got it for testing pH in new garden areas). I think my indoor plants will be very appreciate, too.I'd definitely recommend this smart soil tester (it might be a great gift as well for a garden enthusiast)!

I apologize to the company for having my 1 star up for a couple of days, I hope it didn't deter anyone!I was trying this away from home, but at home it was a breeze, with the app open I never had to open my bluetooth settings. I have close to 200 houseplants and it is so nice to be able to not only see the moisture levels on watering day, but seeing the pH and salinity displayed so quickly is extremely helpful. I know instantly what adjustments need to be made. For rare plants that are having some issues I can log certain results to check if my changes are working.I love it, couldn't love it more, wish I had waited to review, highly recommend!

This Ciztada Soil Test Meter has the impressive ability to accurately test 8 soil conditions and transmit the results via Bluetooth to my iPhone. The App setup was straightforward, and the instructions to calibrate the pH was easy to follow. PH Calibration during the initial startup is essential since my reading before calibration was far from accurate. After calibration the pH is accurately repeatable. I have never had a soil test meter that would test the soil fertilizer level. In the past I've had to rely on time and guesswork. My initial test on one of my house plants showed a 5% fertility test level. After adding my standard liquid fertilizer the reading increased to 60%. One of the readings i will use over-and-over is checking the soil moisture. This will be a helpful guide to tell me when water is needed. All of the meter tests are simple to understand, and hopefully help me better manage my potted plants. One negative factor is that the Bluetooth range is minimal. My wishlist to be able to give this tester a full five star rating is to incorporate a alert warning when one of the tested items falls outside an acceptable range.

This is a neat little device with a very mediocre app. I'm currently using it to monitor one of my indoor potted plants, so I'm not exposing it to any extreme outdoor conditions. The Good:- It comes with batteries!- Humidity and temperature and definitely accurate to within 5% or so.- As for the rest (pH, fertility (?), moisture) it tracks with a healthy plant, so I assume those are somewhat accurate.- Sensor responsiveness is quite fast. It live updates as I pour water into it which is neat.- Signal range is quite good as well, I never lose connection in my apartment! Although thats only ever through 2 layers of drywall or so.- PCB is seemingly custom made, which is nice. Sad its not some ESP32 variant though. The Mediocre- The app is extremely bare bones (iOS). I would love if this could be used with other software or opened up to connect to other entities, such as Home Assistant. Including data like that in my instance would be great!- Data visualization is manual, there are no in-app charts or anything of the sort. You have to set an auto save or manually save and then export it to an excel file.- I cannot emphasize enough how bare bones the app is. Its only used to view data on a dashboard (after reconnecting takes 20-30s), calibrate, adjust auto save intervals, manually save, or export as an excel file.- The latch to remove the batteries is difficult to unlock, I ended up using a small flat-head screwdriver to open it.- The sensor itself is quite large.I hope they somehow are able to make this more open source to be used with other home automation suites, but who knows if that will ever happen. Overall: if you're into smart-home stuff or data analytics for your various hobbies, this can be a fine choice. Just know that any analysis or tracking you want to do will have to be manual.
