These came in well packaged and in great shape.-They seem to be well received even by picky ponies.-While they are “easy” to dispense I could use one of those “stopper” nuts when you don’t need the whole tube at once.-There was definitely a difference and it gave her a needed boost in the hot weather when she wasn’t feeling great.Overall I would have to say they are not bad, I have gotten similar results with less expensive, larger, more adjustable paste tubes. Although they do work as they claim.

My wife is a 1d barrel racer and also competes in pro rodeo all over the northeast. During peak season, she can hit 2-3 events in a week, and because of where we live, these events are minimum of 2 hours trailering away, and many times 3-4-5 hours. While our horses are on daily digestive supplements already, my wife is not shy about giving them all the extra support they need and deserve when hitting the road. When I saw these convenient tubes from a top respected company like SmartPak, we had to give them a try.One of my wife's best horses can tend to get very high strung when traveling, to the point where if we cant be sure he will have a buddy at all times to keep him calm, we need to bring an extra pony. He isnt buddied up to any horse in particular, he just gets real stressed out if he gets left alone. My wife swears since she started using these that he has gotten so much calmer when traveling, to the point of maybe not even needing a buddy anymore. Maybe its coincidence, but it wouldnt be the first time, or even 50th time I have seen something like a a tube of ulcer paste or gut supplement become a miracle cure for the occasional bad behavior, especially under heavy show load. Our horses cant talk, so we owe it to them to go the extra mile to make sure they a healthy, comfortable, and happy to perform for us.

It’s hard to see any immediate or particularly observable effect with supplements like these, but what I can say is that it was easy to administer, my horses didn’t mind the taste, and it certainly didn’t seem to make their digestion any worse! My horses are pretty young and healthy, so it’s possible that with a horse who struggles with digestion more, the positive effect may be more noticeable. I’ll keep administering these to see if I notice any significant difference, but for now I can say - at the very least - it doesn’t hurt!

Got this since my horse and I travel to shows a lot, and she tends to get stress-related soft stool. Back in late October we traveled from NY to GA (2 days on the road with an overnight rest in SC). I gave her one of these tubes each day on the way down and wow! No runny stool at all! I always loved Smartpak!

I found the SmartPak SmartDigest Ultra paste tube is easy to administer. I used it on two of my horses. One of horses was not a fan of the flavor and it was difficult to use the tube with him specifically. Instead of fighting him, I added the whole tube to his feed, which includes soaked alfalfa, and he ate it without any issues.I appreciate the probiotic and enzymes ingredients to support sudden stress/diet changes. My horses were recently exposed to change in their normal routine due to hurricanes and there was grass/hay changes. I noticed their stool was a little off from normal and gave them the SmartDigest Ultra paste. It made one of my horses stool improve with great results! My other horse has fecal water syndrome. The paste did not change his FWS and there were some times his stool became softer after consuming the paste. The product is not advertised for FWS condition and I was not expecting it to cure his FWS. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is in the same position balancing multiple GI equine issues.

I have a new-to-me Rocky Mountain gelding that I have begun conditioning for NATRC and perhaps very low-mileage endurance rides. He eats with a gusto no matter where we go, but he suffers from a nervous stomach when hauled off property and his normally solid poo turns into a cow patty. I have been looking for anything to help his stomach when hauling off property. These syringes have now become a part of my pre-trailer loading routine in combination with the SmartShip and Show paste. My boy just did a 4 hour haul to his first NATRC competition, and all of his output was firm and solid in the trailer and when he came off the trailer as well. Basically, the only time I saw he had the ‘nervous poops’ was when we first went out on trail the next morning, which was a great surprise to me as every other time I’ve ridden him (even in familiar places), his poop is runny (to the point I’ve had people commenting on it to me). However, for the price, I might try to find something a little more cost effective as this isn’t long-term sustainable for many owners.

These are great because they're premeasured and ready to give. It works well and helps with digestion. The flavor must be good, even pickiest horse took it easily.
