The stock extension on the main mag is too long making concealment a challenge. This extension solves that problem. The stock backup mag has no extension so that problem was solved too. Just right. Price is right too!

Put this on S&W M&P 9mm Shield, regular 7 shot magazine and the 8 shot magazine and it betters the grip on the 7 shot for sure but I like it on both very much. Improved grip !Easy to put on .

These fit perfect on both sizes of magazine I have. Installed in seconds no modification needed and feel great in the hand. These were put on an original 9mm shield.

Does not fit the well it fits the 8 round mags but will not engage fully and the 7 round mag which is what I wanted for I had to hit a with a lot of force to get it to engage my tool is brand new maybe that has something to do with it but it did not work to my satisfaction

When installed on the 8 round mag, they are too large. This piece, as well as the gap filler on top of it, prevents the magazine from locking in place smoothly and quickly. A strong piece and is comfortable. But requires a little doctoring up, for the magazine to lock properly.

Fits perfectly. The gap is the same gap that comes with the gun as is. So there is not a gap difference by choosing this grip extender. Not difficult to put the magazine into the gun either. The grip is sturdy yet not too rigid to make putting the magazine into the gun difficult. It is a great accessory to have with this compact gun.Push the pin on the bottom of the magazine clip. Pull the old base out slowly and hold onto the black piece underneath the base so the spring does not fly out. Hold the black piece in place and slide the new grip onto the gun. If the spring does fly out put the small end of the spring back inside first, push in till tight and place the black piece over it. Do not force the spring in or you will bend it and ruin the magazine.
