Great helmet, light and comfortable! The visor comes in clutch as googles tend to be a bit cumbersome. On a light day, this helmet is amazing -- not sure will work as well in a thick snow storm...

So I expected a high quality product given its Smith as well as the price. What I didn’t expect is that this helmet is useless when it snows. Shame on me for not fully reading all the reviews first but I seriously did not expect such a massive design flaw from a company such as Smith. I just came back from Japan where it was literally snowing every single day, which meant that as the snowflakes hit my helmet, they would slide/seep down into my goggles because they don’t have a proper sponge thing at the top to absorb any moisture. Do you know how hard it is to get down the mountain when your goggles are 1/4 or 1/3 filled with snowflakes /ice? Please don’t make the same mistake I did. If I hadn’t already used the helmet once I would be returning it.

I wear fairly large glasses and the visor fits comfortably over them. Bit of a tight squeeze getting the visor down over them but once it's down everything is super comfortable and you kind of forget that the visor is even there.I highly recommend this helmet if you wear glasses.

Helmet is horrible. Total failure on the flip lens system. if you wear glasses, please don't buy this one.First off, the claim they fit over glasses is not really true. I was just on the cusp of medium, so I got a large. I can't even get the helmet on with my glasses on, if I put them on after the fact, the helmet lens won't clear my glasses on the way down. Not even close. I can make it work if I wear the helmet incorrectly, far back on my head. Note that I wear pretty standard non-wide rimmed glasses.Second, when flipped up, they don't go up enough to clear your field of vision. They actually fall directly in line with my sight. The inside nose piece acts like a stopper, preventing the lens from flipping completely out of the way. I could shift the helmet back on my head to make this a little better, but now I am wearing the helmet completely wrong and negating the safety features.Thirdly. The lenses won't stay up in the retracted position. They drop about an 1" down from where you put them with only the slightest of movements. They stayed up for the first couple flips, that's it.I am convinced anyone who has given these a positive review has up-sized the helmet too much. Some of these clearance issues might be resolved with a larger helmet, but then you are defeating the purpose of a properly fitting helmet. I am using their measuring system, and if I get one too big it won't protect me properly.I purchased another version (starts with OD...) from this same site, for a fraction of the cost (about 60$), and the thing is phenomenal in comparison. Also has better coverage on the sides with a larger lens. This was a major complaint too on the Smith - but mine didn't even make it that far it fit so bad. In looking at the 2 side by side, the cheaper version has superior side eye coverage. Also has a lens system that flips completely up and out of the way.I really took a chance here and was sorry I did, don't make the same mistake I did - look elsewhere.

loved the helmet and so happy I purchased this quality product, room for my Meta Ray Bans under shield and felt very comfortable with the fit. Not sure if the lens is replaceable or not?

Smith Optics make great helmets, MIPS and great fitting. I will purchase from them again and again.

I was worried to read negative reviews about water leaks, but I decided to give this a try. When I was in Colorado, we had a severe winter storm warning and the resort I was in received 10 inches of snow on one day. Nevertheles, my new Smith helmet had zero leaks, and this helmet brought a new world to me as this helmet gets substantially less fog compared to regular glass-wearer google that I have been using for years. I will update my review about the leak if anything changes, but for right now this is a perfect helmet for me!

Really enjoyed this helmet and goggle all in one product. It is ideal for bluebird days on the slopes. When it’s windy and snowy, beware that the air and snow will make their way inside the goggles. They don’t seal to your face the same way goggles usually do but regardless, the system is ideal for the slopes!

Super bummed when I wore it for skiing and it rained and water seeped right through the goggles and stays there. The size was perfect and for someone who wears prescription glasses this model is the most comfortable. But they didn't handle rain or snow melting scenario at all. Had great potential but extremely disappointed.
