This worked pretty good for the most part, but I found that if you push too much through it, it won't completely isolate the noise/hum you might be getting but it's cheap and effective there isn't too much power on the line. There are 3 schools of thoughts:Pre-amp?Post-amp?Pre-speakers?Pre-amp really matters if you are picking up hum or cross-talk from the stereo to the amp, or somewhere in between. You don't want to feed through the amp (making the noise worse), and then trying to correct it. This is the hardest to deal with because if the radio is grounded well etc and you're still getting noise, cleaning up wires alone won't do it and hopefully putting this pre-amp will eliminate whatever you're picking up before you amplify it. This is most common scenario I have seen for factory radios that bleed out noise.Post-amp matters if you are picking up a noise from the amp itself or the increase in power is actually causing the noise. If you're only getting noise post-amp, try re-grounding the amp itself and cleaning up the wires. Keep wire runs as short as possible and keep them clear of each other. If that doesn't work and you are still getting noise, try pre-amp first, because maybe the noise is generated pre-amp and you're only hearing it post-amp. If that doesn't work you'll have no choice but to go post-amp. I don't see this that often but from time to time cheap amps cause issues.Pre-speakers is the most foolproof way to handle things by putting it as close to the speakers in the line as possible and eliminating any noise wherever its coming from. The problem with this method is with this component, it's not all that great so if you're picking up a lot of line noise, this won't eliminate it all, especially at high volume. A much more expensive one in a big system makes sense pre-speakers if needed, but in this case, I wouldn't use this cheapie pre-speakers.For the price, this is great if you're trying to clean up just a little noise.I hope you found this helpful!

This does help with the buzz on my older surround sound system. It would be nice if the cables were a little longer.

I’m not a big reviewer but I needed to take time to write this. For what it cost and how well it works I believe it’s a home run . I drive a large work truck that I put an amplifier in and had extremely annoying static.. my understanding from the alternator interference with the amplifier . This device to install and cut out about 95 percent of the loud obnoxious static

i was a little skeptical buying this. i have never needed to use one before. i replaced a Rockford Fosgate 300w amp with a Sound Ordnance 350w to push my sub a little harder. i used all the same wiring when i did the amp swap, but there was a ton of noise coming through my cabin speakers while on mute or during a music pause. i did some research and then bought this. it works perfectly. there is no longer any ground noise coming through the speakers.

It’s okay. It works. But is cheaply made. The cables are just plain old cheap rca cables. They are not high quality. So they don’t do the best job. For me, the price is too expensive for the quality.

As I installed it I tried 3 different ways and it took out one of the feedbacks buy added a new one. I have to now find one to take that feedback away.
