I got bitten by something on my thigh as I was carrying some firewood, and I leaned on a log so I could not see what it was. It left two puncture wounds so I knew it wasn't a hornet and I got worried. My dad had this kit and I was able to suck out quite a lot of fluid from the wound. The flesh around the wound still died off and left a deep wound, but I am sure it would have been much worse had I not used this kit. When I came home I bought one for my emergency bag.

This is one of those things you get for the just in case and hope you don’t have to ever use it. The direction sheet that comes with it is very minimal and really not worth anything. There are better directions in the pictures on this listing. So might be a good idea to screen shot the pictures so you know what to do. This is not something you try out so you can review the actual item but I will say that there are the necessary items and the case is nice. The zipper works well and it should fit in any pocket you need. Perfect for a hike or carrying in your car. If you do ever have to use it, the case could be used for a number of different things after it’s done holding these tools. This is a good buy and perhaps a good gift.

I don't plan on getting bitten by a snake to actually try it out (even though I have rattlesnakes in the area). This kit is definitely a unique idea. Hopefully the included tools actually work when/if the time comes. It seems to have everything you would need in a pinch to deal with a bite.
