This safe is the perfect size. It does what I want it to do. I use it to hold medicine and some other items I don't want others to be able to access readily. I like that I can hide it under my bed, thus not taking up any closet space, etc.If you wanted to break into the safe, it wouldn't take much. The actuator for the lock does feel a bit flimsy, but the safe itself is a pretty good weight. I like that there is a cable to attach it to the bed, so it can't be taken away without effort, but mine looks to be missing a part to allow the cable to attach to the safe itself.My biggest complaint is that there is not a mute setting when punching in the code. The keypad beeps are VERY LOUD! I know others have dismantled the beep by taking things apart and modifying it, but the safe was expense and I don't want to risk breaking the keypad. Nevertheless, despite the drawbacks, I am glad I purchased it.

If you've watched the YouTube's of the Lock Picking Lawyer you know there are very few locks not pickable.How that applies to the under-bed 'safe' is this. The product description touts a steel cable for extra protection but the fact is, there is not a single hole on the back, top or sides for attaching the steel cable to the 'safe'.The manual, if you care to call it that, has zero info about installing the steel cable.Maybe you could drill a large enough hole but where would that hole be located? The drawer doesn't have the typical release found on most drawer rail slides so with an non-removable drawer and accessing a drilled hole is problematic.As for using the holes in the bottom plate for attaching to a floor, it's very awkward at best to do that because since the drawer cannot be removed, pre-drilling in the floor then tightening bolts to those holes by somehow working around the drawer in a the 5" space (between the top and bottom surfaces) is about as awkward as threading a needle in a pitch black room.Would I buy or recommend this 'safe'? Well, it probably will frustrate toddlers, your cat or dog but if a real thief showed up, they could or would simply pick it up (it weighs 100 pounds), toss it in their get away car and vamoose.Other that that, the Lock Picking Lawyer could probably open the key pad in less than 2 minutes, I say that because he's opened scores of car door locks, table top gun safes and Master Locks is 2 minutes or less.

I got this for my husband's 50th birthday and he loves it. It's spacious and convenient to have. Plus, since it's under the bed, I don't have to look at it if I don't want to! You can fit all kinds of things into it. It's a good investment.

This isn't a 'safe' so much as a lockable horizontal cabinet. The slides work well, the buttons are easy to push. It's nice to have 2 different codes such that either can be used to open the drawer (and the length is variable, like 3-8 digits I think). Only downside is that the knob is plastic. It opens easily, but I can see it maybe having issues in 5-10 years, but for now it's great. Price was cheap ($450) and the quality is good for what it is. The carpet is very thin/cheap but at least it comes with carpet. Many people will put in their own padding or carpet anyhow.

This thing is by no means a vault. Someone who is very motivated could likely with a bit of help get this gun storage out from under my bed and with time and privacy likely get it opened. But as I said they would need to be highly motivated. Most people won't even bother to try if they were to break into my house or even be invited in for some reason. The box itself is sturdy and I didn't detect any weaknesses in the build. The electronics and locking mechanism seem to be very high quality. If you are looking for a way to secure your firearms out of the way and away from little hands or even just careless ones along with a few valuables, this is a good option. If you are looking for a heavy duty security vault for your firearms you will need to buy a heavy duty security vault, as this will not fill that role. It depends on what you are looking for.

Bought this for back of Hummer H3. It fits perfect with just a half inch on each side and brings up the back to same level as the rear seat when folded down. Just ordered trifold mattress 25x75 to lay on to sleep overnight while traveling. If lay down drivers side back seat and move drivers seat all way forward and upright, should fit nice. Really like that I dont lose any floor space in the back of the hummer and yet can carry stuff I dont want to fly around in accident. Will tie down with plastic coated cable through front tie down loops on floor of hummer. Then the rear floor mat fits perfect if lay on top of the safe, it drapes down in the back enough so its not obvious to others it is a safe when I open the back door. Would buy again. Quite heavy and sturdy. Drawer functions well and is removable for installation of the safe.

The safe fits perfectly under my bed. The electronic keypad seems cheap but it is working well so far. For the price I'm not sure you're going to find a better safe, but don't mistake this for a safe that you can get into quickly. This is simply to keep your guns locked up under your bed, which is typically wasted space. I live in a townhome so I try to utilize all the space I can.
