This works well, but some of the parts feel a little cheap. It is easy to put together and to adjust. The clamp and wingnut for adjusting the angle of the snare feels a bit "iffy", but it holds once you get it where you want it. The "knob" at the bottom for adjusting to hold the drum in place is made of light-weight plastic and feels like it will probably be the first thing to go. If this stand is for a kit that is staying one place without frequent adjustments, it will be great.

I grabbed this to have as a spare. It's pretty light weight, even though it's double braced. I like that. The chrome plating is fair to average. It showed up assembled, clamps to my 14" snare drums... it holds them really well and it's sturdy while playing.It's a great value for a beginner, better than most of the stands that come with budget drum sets, but beyond that, for somebody concerned about weight, I'd say this is an excellent choice as well.

I have a pretty good idea about snare drums , I think ? :-D . I put a fairly heavy snare (As seen in the picture). Immediately this cheap stand went down ! Bummer. So I had some common sense for breakfast. Came back and tightened it (Hand tighten). Wow, what do you know, it holds up ! Is it a DW9000 Airlift ? Of course not ! But it doesn't cost $320 either ! So if someone stole this at a gig, would I need mental therapy, Nah. And that's the point. Its a good snare basket After you tighten things up, It will hold up nicely Perfect for a Piccolo or to practice on too. Thanks Amazon

Compared to a more sturdy heavier stand, you might worry, but once a snare is locked down on the clamp cage, it is stable for wailing away without wobble.It came in a plastic bag, which is fine if that's all that is in the box...it was not, box delivery put some plastic dents into my USB charger also in the box with the stand.Twisting the plastic cage thread knob sheers lightly like a potato peeler on the tighteningI suggest they put a metal washer between the plastic knob and the metal cage hub like is on other stands.There's also no lock collar for the height adjustment. Just a wing nut squeezing the upper metal bar with plastic bushings below...if it ever gets loose, I would add a memory lock to keep downward slipping from occurring.but this is new and working perfectly.Sure beats my old stand that has the stripped Wing that position that I actually had to put a bolt in.so I am happy for adjustable again seeing as I share my drum kit with right handed people though I am left-handed.
