A snare stand should have a ball socket for additional angling. This can only angle in one, maybe two directions. For a real snare it can only be positioned with the third leg directly facing you. If you prefer it the opposite way, the snare holder will not angle far enough the other direction and as I said there's no ball socket for maneuvering. It is cheap, sturdy enough and light. I'm using it to hold an electronic drum pad, so the shallow angle works for me. I don't think this is good even for student drummers. A snare stand should offer more flexibility.

I needed to replace a missing snare drum stand on a set of TAMA drums. This unit was less expensive that the TAMA Road Pro version and I found it to be stable and very well made. Everything worked as designed. Good stand! Cheers.

Either they sent me the wrong stand or people are commenting on the wrong stand. For 30 bucks this stand is more than worth the money. 4 adjustments points and the stand is very beefy. When I took it out of the box I was surprised by the weight. I just needed a cheapo stand to hold a 10 inch electronic pad. I would put any snare in this stand without blinking.

It broke when I hit it by accident but it’s a pretty good stand. I would recommend getting this for the base and getting a Gibraltar basket

Me agradó el producto para usar en una tarola de 14".siento que no presiona muy bien ya que al momento de "cargar" la tarola se zafó de la base, pero cumple su función en general

We are really happy with this stand. We were looking for something to put our son's Yamaha electronic drum set on, and after researching we found we could use a snare drum stand. This one got great reviews and also was a much better price than the Yamaha stand, so we decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did because it worked out perfect. It took a little adjusting to get it just right and we needed some tools to get everything sufficiently tightened, but I figure that would be the same for any stand. We plan to just leave ours up so he can just set up and go, but it's really nice that it comes with a sturdy bag if we want to take it apart and store it. Overall a great purchase
