In my opinion, this snare stand is adequate for lightweight drums like an electronic pad, nothing more. I’ve been using this for many months to hold the 14” snare pad of my e-kit. I don’t beat on it like a monster. I usually play a mix of jazz, pop, and rock but almost no metal. Still, the stand tends to wobble and, sometimes, even tips over. I have double kick pedals and this stand fits between them, but I cannot fully adjust the feet ALL the way to their widest. That does contribute some to the instability, but this real problem is that this stand is so lightweight it simply is not stable. If this stand was heavier it would not wobble so much. I’d say this stand will get you by for awhile if you’re using a lightweight e-drum pad, but once you get past the beginner level and start playing seriously, you’ll need to buy a more serious stand. I wouldn’t trust this on a gig. This is for students who have a very tight budget.

I use an 8x13 Pork Pie snare, and my old PDP snare stand wasn’t cutting it and I needed something shorter. So after checking Reddit and other drum websites almost the only recommendation I found was a Pearl low 1000 and some DW which were both ~$200 so I decided to save myself some money and grab this one, and either like it or return it. After hooking it up and playing on it for two hours I had no problems. At first I was worried because the bolts are a little small and it’s light, but it’s actually surprisingly sturdy. It is a lighter material but it definitely lowered my snare and is sturdier than my last stand!

My only dislike is that this product is not ideal for heavier snares. If you’re rocking a piccolo snare of the equivalent this is the product for you. Otherwise, you might want to invest more if you don’t want to be constantly adjusting the height.

I was amazed of how sturdy the stand was when I opened the box. To one of the previous reviews, yes the adjustment is made of plastic. But if you don’t over screw it, it should last a while. For the price, it’s a great deal.
